How to create a webhook in Zoho CRM

Thanks for your video Andy! Do you know what type of flow I would need to set up, so that in my Zoho CRM contact module, each contact will link to a specific google drive folder created for that particular contact? Would Webhooks work for this? Thank you

Hi Jimmy. There are several ways to accomplish what you would like to do. I'm guessing you want to automatically create a folder in Google Drive when a contact is created in the CRM, and then link the folder to the CRM. You are going to have to use an app like Zapier or Zoho Flow to create the folder. The webhook part is optional, and I wouldn't use it, given that Zapier or Flow will know when a new contact is created in the CRM, and then trigger the action that you setup. In this case, the action is to create a folder and link it to the contact. So you will need a field in the contact layout where you can store either the folder link, or the folder ID, so when you click on the link or a custom button that can be created, the folder will open.

@@blungo I will create a field in the contact layout, do you know what the actual flow would like like. Sorry, I have tried repeatedly to do the zapier function based on other suggestions and so far, nothing has worked

@@jimmyk7126 The trigger is "new module entry", and the module is Contacts. The actions are: 1) Create folder in Google Drive (configure where you want to create the foldes and what name you will give them), and 2) "Update module entry" in Zoho CRM (the module is going to be Contacts, and to find it you will use the contact ID from the trigger; the field to update is the one you added to the layout, and you can use the "alternate link" that is generated when the folder is created).

@@blungo Thanks for taking the time to answer Andy! I tried this and when I run the Zap the following error message comes back. Do you know what the zap is so that when the application is completed the application via pdf is also uploaded to the folder created for the client.
