Out of interest, is the ticket gateline seen at the beginning of this video to enter Antony Station or specifically for the Orlyval platform? If I was already inside Antony Station by taking the RER from the city, is there another gateline to pass through to access Orlyval? Great video, by the way.
The ticket gateline of the beginning is only for the Orlyval platform. There's not another gateline between Antony and Orlyval, if you don't have an Orlyval ticket, you can buy one in the ticket machines next to the Orlyval gateline.
@@acc84 and going the other way from Orly airport to city, do you need to insert the Orlyval ticket at the gateline to change within Antony onto the RER or is it push to exit barriers like le Metro?
@@DJjay18 Hi! As ORLYVAL is free (no ticket needed) if you want to travel inside the airport (between Orly 1-2-3 and Orly 4), the ticket gateline is at Antony, on the platform, you need to insert a valid Orly airport ➡ Antony ticket (9€30) to exit the station. The ORLYVAL station and the RER B station at Antony are independent and are not owned/operated by the same company. That's why, after validating your ORLYVAL ticket at the ORLYVAL ticket gateline, you will have to validate your RER ticket (or your combo ticket ORLYVAL + RER) on the RATP validator (on the RER B platform). Or you can exit the station directly without going to the RER B...
Oh, and the gateline shown at the beginning of the video is for the people who transit/change from RER B to ORLYVAL. For travelers who only have to take ORLYVAL, there is a (smaller) entry, completely separated from the RER B station, with a smaller ticket gateline, for people who only have a ORLYVAL ticket (they don't need a RER B ticket). Of course you can buy a ticket near the entry. These people are then redirected to the platform, shown at the beginning of the video.
You mean on the right?! On the left : tracks to Antony RER/train station On the right : tracks to "Orly South" station (terminal 4). Train will go backwards at some point because of how the line is. Trains have to go backwards at Orly 1-2-3 to continue.
Great video just what I need! I will go to Paris this Thursday and will be my first time from airport CDG to Orly (my hotel is there). Can I buy one time ticket from CDG to Orly ? Like when I stop in Antony I don’t have to buy ticket again. Thank you. Kinda nervous tho, because I will arrive Paris around 9pm.

And during the trip (between Orly and Antony), trains run along the RER C tracks (Grande Ceinture line between Choisy le Roi and Massy Palaiseau)
And at 2:26 tracks on the left go to the orlyval maintenance workshop
