@donovanbeane4428 fuck yeah Chris Burrows!!! Tassie folk punk forever. Anorexic Olsen twin is my fave but asking for it and this is a robbery are great too
His first album was a collection of tracks from two other releases he recorded solo instead of with Ramshackle Glory. That's why the quality switches, they were recorded separately
If you're looking for more folk punk, check out Mischief Brew! Pigeon Pit, Defiance Ohio, and Apes of the State are also amazing if you're looking for more out of the genre! Folk punk holds so much meaning to me, such a powerful genre :]
Please do Ramshackle Glory! By far the best written, recorded, and produced of his projects, with the best lyrics and a whole host of incredible musicians. It's impossible not to fall in love with it. I'd say just listen to the albums in release order.
I strongly suggest checking out Ceschi too. I'm not sure if you're new to the folk punk/indie scene, but there's a label called Fake Four that he runs, tons of great content... He's a super nice dude too, awesome to talk with.
!!!! I literally just got into him😭 for those looking for suggestions! Look up “let’s take a ride like we used to” it’s soo good and angst and very clever
Wingnut Dishwasher's Union album Never Trust a Man Who Plays Guitar is one of the greatest albums of all time. That's where I started with Pat the Bunny, and I love almost all of it, but that is still my favorite
if you like Pat the bunny try 1.Mischief Brew (Rip Erik Petersen) 2.Amy Bruce Spaceshow (RIP matt) 3.the front bottoms 4.McCafferty 5.Matt Pless 6.Just Nick 7.Jeffrey Lewis
he is such an amazing a beautiful artist ever to touch the crust of this earth! pat's such an awesome chad, one of the greatest artists man kind has ever set their eyes upon
Nah, start with johnny hobo. Pats music paints a picture of his life. You can see him rising out of the depths of his addiction and his music becomes more hopeful with time.
Listen to Johnny Hobo and the freight trains, Ramshackle glory, & wing nut dishwashers union. He’s hands down my favorite musician and I’m gona say his best band I’d wingnut however the other two are incredible
Johnny Hobo is a bit of a tough sell for most people. It was the first thing I listened to by him, but I was an angsty teenager hanging out with my outcast friends, so it was a good fit. I would say the best place to start would be Live the Dream by Ramshackle Glory for most people (also my favorite album of all time). If they're into punk already, then they can start with Burn the World! Leave It All Behind! by Wingnut Dishwashers Union.
@connorthornberg haha saame. I just also really like how you can hear the change happen in him through his music over the years from being a drug addicted alcoholic, to a literal fucking beacon of hope for a lot of alcoholics and addicts everywhere. I don't wanna sound corny, but it's really inspiring.
Yeah...if you're too concerned about sound quality, you may not like most punk music.... Then again, I care about sound quality (I have a lot invested in an excellent home stereo system) But if I onlt listened to music recorded really well I'd have missed out on *A LOT* of amazing punk music. & that's a lot of what I listen to!
Johnny Hobo and the freight trains dude.
asking for it would be cool to hear aswell

Also a cool guy. Talk to him if you ever get a chance.
Nah, start with johnny hobo. Pats music paints a picture of his life. You can see him rising out of the depths of his addiction and his music becomes more hopeful with time.

Try out Tune Yards!

mountain goats has nothing on pat the bunny
complains about quality and then says the word "but" and his mic craps itself. ok
Yeah...if you're too concerned about sound quality, you may not like most punk music.... I caught your dialogue matching up with the lyrics. Well done.
However, I’d dislike to see cheesy reviews of cult folk punk for shorts or TikTok.
His solo work is literally my least favorite.
Blasphemy !
