Oh speaking of Gorva - I do like their switches and they also make some really nice looking enclosures, but FYI their C65 mentions being similar to a 125B but it's not quite wide enough for PCBs designed to take all the space in a 125B

The ground on the footswitch would be the case ground. The jacks are all isolated so there’s no other route.

How did you work out what the parts under the black gunk were? Was there a schematic somewhere online or similar?

There was a picture leaked from I think NAMM where it showed the diodes and silver mica. I also profiled them and indeed are 1n914 or extremely close to the same spec. I did my own trace and research. I had help with a trusted friend to check my work too
