SPi, I've downloaded the Campaign and put it in my CoD 4 folder. But it says that my version is not compatible with the mod. The same thing is showing with the Remastered Deal Campaign. I tried to access it with the Steam version of the game. How can I update or access it? Please help.
Thanks. Although I wouldn't call it speedrun. It's just a regular run showing it as best as I can to cover the mod. A speedrun of this can take around 30 minutes with the skips and all the shortcuts.

Though I ask and got to say, if a general were to have a right hand, then wouldn't he be ranked higher than a Major? Maybe Misha could be a Colonel or higher?
Thanks a lot. I don't remember why i made that decision about the ranks. It's been over ten years since that decision, i was quite young and ignorant and I don't remember why I did it the way it is. Oh well.

Well done. New cut-scenes, new more details, that was good idea to replace G36C to ACR. But there is kind of little bit issues with the voices. Sometimes characters talking each other unnatural that didn't have problem in classic rooftops. For example it’s Loz. This character talks too quetly. Also why didn’t you add more scenes from remaster MW? For example jumping to the helo after Maj.Mishas kill and breaching the office to Maj. Misha? Everything else was fixed correctly. Great work🔥🔥
Thanks! I'm not sure what you found wrong with the voices. The original/classic version had serious problems with the volume and audibility of the sounds, and I worked very hard for them to be easily heard in the remaster, and it appears to work. They are much louder and easier to hear than the original so I am not sure what the problem is. Now as for MW remastered animations that didn't get used, not all of them would work the way I wanted them to. The positioning and movement proportions wouldn't fit the space of the scenes the way I wanted them too. Also Misha's/Alasad's death animation would involve the chain choke, which I didn't like and didn't want. Besides, the original has the iconic pistol stance at the end that I wanted. As for the jump anim, the team inside the helicopter knows SPi is running for it. In the remaster, one of the SAS inside the heli notices and points outwards to player who's struggling to climb the ramp. That wouldn't make sense in Rooftops Remastered as everyone already knows that SPi is making a run for it. Also there are a lot of positioning problems that would have to be re-worked to make the new animation to work. And thanks for the support again.
It's not a reference, it's the animation itself. This is a COD4 mod and it uses tons of COD4 assets because its literally in the game itself. Scripted animations are no exception.

Its more of a ground up overhaul. Remaster is an easy to recognize title. Reboot doesnt even fir the term because it doesnt change or retcon any of the story. The canon events are still canon events in the same way.
Are you planning to make any other modifications for the MW? You're just amazing at it. If you are still thinking about the idea, then you can, for example, film operation

I really loved it more than the original, I hope you give Rooftops Spec Ops Missions the same treatment. Btw I'm having an issue unlocking the achievement for Battle Ships despite I destroyed all of them, i never got the achievement and it's the only one that I need to unlock for 100%
Rooftops 2 doesn't need a remaster. It's already at a good quality level in terms of assets. Maybe a good update fixing a few things but no remaster. The memory limits won't allow more hd assets in some maps and I'm not risking it. Rooftops 1 remaster already had serious problems with hd assets and it barely works for some users.

Dude I think Romanov Misha and Sasha’s ages have some inconsistencies. 1)Romanov is 41 years and he’s looking to young for General. 2)Sasha is older than Misha for 3 years but Misha is Major and Sasha is Captain. 3) Another thing Alex is oldest but he’s Sergeant. And SPi(you) younger than Alex for 5 years but Captain. Same with Loz 1978 but Lt. 😅
Possibly yes, it's not meant to be professionally written or make realistic sense, but in Rooftops 2 and The Deal there are some background character information especially for Romanov that explain how he rose to power that quickly.

It sounds like a wrong installation. How did you install the mod? did you follow instructions? explain every step you made to install it and everything before the problem showed up.

This looks nice but the voices are very out of place and lack actual emotion. Most of the time it felt monotone which really felt awkward in some scenes, plus the level building, terrain, stuff like that, I think could’ve been done better cause it seemed a bit repetitive in some spots.
@@thatemocat trust me it's as good as it can get. Remember this is not a multi-billion studio production this is made in a guy's PC with no resources at all. The voices were all by volunteer voice actors for free and they did great for a production. The maps and their design is as good as it gets given the engine and the map idea in mind. Remember this is an old game and sometimes things look repetitive because certain assets repeat. And again it's a one-man project so you can't expect too much depth. If you compare this to other free custom-made campaign projects you will definitely see that this is one of the more detailed ones. These things take a lot of effort to make. And trust me what you see as something that could be done better is the best that could be done given the circumstances. The voices as well besides that they are free from amateurs like I mentioned, they took a lot of hard work to make them work properly. Of course there are awkward and poorly written and poorly developed lines because half of the ones providing voices aren't native English speakers and not professional actors. And besides that the hard work involved editing the voice files in a very complicated way so they are actually easy to hear in game. Because in call of Duty 4 they have done some weird audio editing tricks to make them actually easy to hear under gun fire and loud combat sounds. This for custom voices is a lot harder because we don't have the same resources and same techniques as the studio who made the game. I had to edit every single voice file one by one and applying some sort of filter that maximizes the loudness without deforming and causing artifacts. So when I say that this is the best we can expect from such a project trust me on this. Thanks for your comment

Normally when I see a modification of a game that looks like it could be an actual dlc, I tend to have high hopes and expectations that it’ll have a bit of quality just as the original. Now, I’ll be honest I was not aware it was just you working on this campaign, but I will say you did the best you can and I admire how much you’ve put into creating this custom campaign on an old engine such as COD4’s.
It's quite challenging indeed. It's an optional achievement so a little challenge doesn't hurt since it doesn't prevent you from progressing the mod. Once you discover it the first time, you gain access to a menu button in Extras that allows you to directly play the Battleship segment alone so you can practice and try again and again until you get it without having to replay through the level over and over. That's done for player convenience. The pieces are there, all one has to do is either really try or just not bother. And it was never supposed to be realistic anyway.
Theres ALOT of things with this campaign that I have to say that is real nitpicky. The gameplay in concept is good but the writing is absolutely horrendous and makes no sense. Why would Russian military go into a NATO country like Italy ontop of having a secret base in Greece which is also a NATO country? No chain of command in the Russian Government or Russian Military would give the greenlight on that since it would be an immediate cause for World War 3. Also why would a CIA agent contact SAS operators that are in a complete different country instead of American assets like America’s AFRICOM command that is already stationed in Italy? Why are the Russians using NATO and Israeli small arms? I get it that its just a game but the writing could have been done way more better.
Again I am not trying to hate, I enjoyed the game very much but there was just certain parts that just rubbed me the wrong way. Very great and fun mod!
@@Vincent-vn7xo Yeah i understand the thoughts and I'm very aware of them. I will explain. The story and setting is in no way supposed to be taken realistically and it's not trying to be realistic. It's a bond-villain entirely fictional story that is only there to excuse the levels from happening. The concept came first, SAS fighting Russians on Italian rooftops. So a rushed story was put together 12 years ago when I came up with this to excuse it from happening. Added various of details like the CIA involvement and so on just because I felt like it. It's basically like playing with your toy soldiers and making up absurd and over the top stories for their fights. It's not supposed to be realistic or believable, just silly mindless fun and games. I wasn't and am not a writer nor I would claim to be, because i had to focus on actually making everything you see rather than writing a good and real story for it. So in conclusion the story is really not supposed to be taken realistically. I got no problem receiving criticism for this aspect as I'm self-aware of it and there's no shame in admitting its totally fictional, unrealistic and superficial in my opinion. You should also watch/play the sequel, Rooftops 2, it's even more absurd lol. They literally occupy a whole region of southern Greece with no witnesses (for which there's an explanation but it's also far from realistic). And after the sequel, watch/play the prequel, The Deal, which is even even more absurd. KGB, SAS, MI6 have a huge firefight in London with Russian involvement. A London that looks more like NYC. As you can see its really over the top on purpose to excuse the events and concepts from happening.

So a rushed story was put together 12 years ago when I came up with this to excuse it from happening. Added various of details like the CIA involvement and so on just because I felt like it. It's basically like playing with your toy soldiers and making up absurd and over the top stories for their fights. It's not supposed to be realistic or believable, just silly mindless fun and games. I wasn't and am not a writer nor I would claim to be, because i had to focus on actually making everything you see rather than writing a good and real story for it. So in conclusion the story is really not supposed to be taken realistically. I got no problem receiving criticism for this aspect as I'm self-aware of it and there's no shame in admitting its totally fictional, unrealistic and superficial in my opinion. You should also watch/play the sequel, Rooftops 2, it's even more absurd lol. They literally occupy a whole region of southern Greece with no witnesses (for which there's an explanation but it's also far from realistic). And after the sequel, watch/play the prequel, The Deal, which is even even more absurd. KGB, SAS, MI6 have a huge firefight in London with Russian involvement. A London that looks more like NYC. As you can see its really over the top on purpose to excuse the events and concepts from happening.
