I love this vine. I got my crossvine from some cuttings I took from the woods behind my neighborhood. I have one on a trellis arch that’s doing amazing and another I have potted up waiting for a forever home in the garden. I love how the flowers smell like honey, I think I’ve heard that some cultivars lost their fragrance during cultivation. That’s sad but I guess some of those flowers are so beautiful they don’t need a fragrance. 😬
I’ve got one of these in Portland Oregon and I’m not seeing the growth that I expected. Planted on the SE corner of my home and getting full sun until 3-4pm. I’ve tried a few fertilizer treatments and water every other day to keep it happy during our dry months. Any tips or ideas to increase growth?
Some times when plants struggle with transplant stress the top will stop growing. We hope that is all that has stopped. Make a tonic of 1 TBS of fish emulsion, 1 TBS liquid Molasses, 1 TBS of liquid seaweed mix into 1 to 1 and a 1/2 gallons of water. Do this every other week 3 to 5 time until frost

Did u propagate from just a vining stem or did u get down to a lower root???
@@bbyjcky1 hey there…. just stems, I wouldn’t want to take away from nature. I propped them in water.
So an I plant it near my concrete block house thanks , great info
I would be careful with planting near house because it could cause the joints in the blocks to crack.
Is it edible?

A lot of time if the plant is happy just not growing it is growing roots.
Do you think this plant will do well in zone 6a/ 6b? We get some snow.
It would probably be to cold for this one.
You can drink in a tea also
Want to plant it to run up my house is that ok
I would not let it grow on my house because it can grab the house with tendrils could damage the house.
can u send me cutting plss im from.dellhi
