Not gonna get spoilery or anything, but most times when you're stuck in Valheim it's because you haven't built everything in your menu that there is to build, or there are new materials/ingredients out in the world that you haven't discovered yet.
1,356-hour player here. My advice to all new players is that the game gives you the best weapon for killing Eikthr when you start. The torch, it does blunt damage and fire damage. Make about 5 of them and put them in your number slots. You'll go through the torches quick, but Eikthr is constantly taking fire damage and going down quicker than with any other melee weapon available to you at that time.
You can always progress by either building all the possible things under crafting or by roaming around and obtaining new materials to unlock new stuff. Valheim lets you chill in base quite easily, since it relatively safe and you cannot starve, but can be super challenging if you decide to go around. I am looking forward to seeing this series. Its so refreshing to relive the first time playing this game through the eyes of another player:)
hey underrated video, some tips if you decided to do an episode 2 avoid reading below if you dont want any tips lol. for building, try to make a skeleton with wooden beams before building to get your layout, that helps a lot with building. secondly you can use the hoe to terraform a little bit, you can use this to raise dirt up in your house and place a campfire inside for a chimney :) also for more advanced building I definitely recommend testing half walls and horizontal beams for a more natural detailed look. you can really go crazy with just the starting build pieces and I think you will really feel cozy once you get a hang of that. your current house is equal to a minecraft dirt box atm lol but tbf it took me a while to figure out building because for some reason my snap on keybind wouldnt work so I actually built HORRIBLY starting out. wish you the best and I enjoyed the little video.
Haven't watch the video, but "yes", it's VERY good. As a longtime older gamer it gave me a sense of excitement I hadn't felt in years. It's a game that I wish I could wipe my memory of it so I could get the fresh new feeling again.

Yes, I am learning that I have to find new materials, like flint to craft new stuff

I'll keep an eye on this one, watching someone play blind makes me jealous, subbed, great video
Thanks, I plan to get into the building side a ton, seems like you can build some insane things in this game!
You made a great start! The workbench improvements all come from building with the hammer, it's really important! You'll be a pro before long
love the editing style, very enjoyable to watch :)
Glad you liked it!

Glad you liked it! Thanks for not spoiling the "story" or whatnot! I am ashamed of my dirt box lol
I am at 3250 hours. The group game I started in has folded, but I found a server that is really chill and friendly.
