This is the way! 😀 Almost an Action in the Box! Next step, try to build a diorama inside it. You can start choosing an image to print ant add into the background.
These look alright for the money. Wicked Brick do a very nice perspex box to fit one (maybe 2) Hot Toy Figures for a little bit more. I drilled a hole in the back of mine so old Ben could pose with a CCFL lightsaber standing on a neat matt black stand from Babyrice. Turned out to look good, managed to make the wires from tha saber disappear in the robe and behind the stand Maker warned me not to leave it turned on too long though in a small sealed box.
Cheers I looked at Wicked Brick a while back and thought they were a bit pricey. But tbh that was ages ago so I'll have another look 👍🏻 And thanks for the info about not leaving the saber on in a small box! I did notice the other day the sabers got *really really* hot which I hadn't actually noticed before tbh! 😅 Thanks for watching mate 👊🏻
You can stack them vertically or horizontal, but like I mentioned in another comment they don't clip together or anything so I think they could get really unstable if you stack them too high! It would be good if they slotted together or someone but you're effectively just balancing one on top of the other. Hope this helps 😃 Thanks for watching 🙌🏻
It's an official TK unboxing when the Star Wars scissors make an appearance. Isn't it silly how seeing them brings a smile? Having not too long ago roamed around Warrington's ikea trying to choose a display case after the demise of Detolfs, I remember seeing one of their example rooms filled with these cases. It was kind of an ultimate mancave bedroom style thing, and one wall was probably 20 to thirty of these filled with, yeah, trainers. As you point out, some of us collect plastic in the shape of a person, some collect rubber in the shape of a foot. Each to their own. Whatever makes you happy is worth it. Have to admit, it never crossed my mind to reorient the case so that you could stand a figure in one, though. I suppose the case is a budget display option for a starting collector until they have enough figures to need a better solution.
Wow would have liked to have seen that IKEA mancave. I bet a whole wall of those boxes looks pretty epic! And yeah handy that they can stand upright? Perfect figure-sized height 👍🏻 Thanks for watching mate 😀👊🏻

I’ve been thinking how to squeeze another cabinet in too but struggling at the minute so got a few of these cases in the meantime! But yeah I found FB Marketplace great for detolfs 😀👍🏻
Yes they can be stacked. I actually temporarily stacked them when I was having a bit of a move around 🙂 They won't lock together securely though, they would just be balanced on top of each other, so they would need to be on a very stable surface 👍🏻 Thanks for watching 🙌🏻

Great value for money option👍think they really do look half decent and pretty straight forward to build. A really fantastic idea, May well be tempted to buy one to try out👍. I was wondering how you were going to make best use of the limited space you must have left in your display room and if you can somehow manage to wall mount a few that would be great. An interesting and cheap alternative display case, not fond of those gaps though... I hope you take a look at any other cases out there if you get suggestions, as I'm on the look for cheap alternatives. Had the news last week that my Fennec Shand has finally shipped from Singapore and she'll fill the last remaining spot in my Detolf amongst my childhood toys, so any further purchases might just have to go into something like this... People putting trainers in display cases? there's some strange people out there! 😆
Yeah the gaps do let this case down to be honest! Luckily I knew in advance otherwise probably would have been quite disappointed. Congrats on Fennec!!! Definitely a FOTY contender! Awesome video dude! My first thought was that this would be great to put figures on top of a detolf so you could expand the collection with a row of these. I assume they scratch easily? Especially if you don't use a base for the figure. Great job as always dude 👍
Was thinking of putting a row of these along the tops of the detolfs exactly like you say! Wall mounted them for now though as the detolf tops are currently occupied with BARC speeders and 1/4 scales. And actually yeah you're spot on they do scratch quite easy if you're not careful. I scratched the ceiling with Boba's rocket pack 😅 Not too badly but yes definitely scratchable! Cheers for watching mate! 😀👊🏻

None of the vehicles will fit the case unfortunately! Think the ESB Vader set is the biggest thing that will fit (and that is a pretty snug fit tbh! Cheers for the encouragement mate 👍🏻

Lots of different cheaper display cases out there ( if you know where to look) Personally I wanted display cases with lights ( which are always expensive) oh and thanks for the mention by the way. But saying all that I think these are fantastic for this hobby. Look very cool and for a very low price!!!
You can't really beat those ones you've got mate, the light up function is amazing, watched your vid on them a few times. Pricey but definitely look like they're a premium product. Cheers mate! No, unfortunately they don't come with wall fittings. I bought some L shaped shelving brackets for them to go on which work quite well. The cases are just resting on them, so not attached in any way tbh. All seems sturdy enough though 👍🏻
