  • This early "toy" steam engine looks more like the work of a scientific instrument maker than toy maker Ernst Plank (Germany), complete with its original instrument lacquer and oversized flywheel.

    Beautiful ! Good to see it under steam. Byg flywheel is impressive. Looks the same as on my vertical EP.

    I just purchased a odd little Ernest Plank that I dated to 1896.Had a broken flywheel that was repaired but I'm afraid to fire it fearing I may loose it
