Extra footage with Ed Copeland discussing Jim Peebles winning the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physics... Main video: • Exoplanets and Cosmolo... More Ed: bit.ly/EdCopeland
So it seems that everyone should be looking at what Prof. Jim Peebles is working on right now because, whatever it is, it's going to become big 15 years from now and so we could just cut a chunk of that time and leap forward faster.
Glad to see the extra footage! I'm wondering if Dr. Peebles should have had an entire video to himself. In the first video, his contributions were cut into two separate parts, and now we have an equally fascinating third part. Can the three be edited together? I think sharing his contributions truly warrant it.
It follows already from the friedmann's solution of general relativity: density being above/equal/below *critical* density, the universe turns out to be spatially closed/flat/open
@@telcharthegreatsmithofthef7585 A lot of the channels have stopped posting now, so it would have been better to have them on one channel where people can find them more easily. Plus, they are mostly the same format.
I could listen to Ed talk on just about anything tbh, but Jim Peebles seems like an incredibly interesting physicist.
Ed really did a fantastic job explaining why Jim Peebles deserves that prize.
Ed should have his own UA-cam channel, I could listen to him for hours on end, I wish I had him as a teacher.

I appreciate the professors trying to answer these things without math.
Need more from this channel
RIP Nottinghamscience

Awesome!
Too many channels spread too thin
