I personally think you should do both study well and sing so your parents realize your studies won't fail or anything because of singing. There are plenty of successful singers out there whose parents strongly disagreed with their kid's dream, but look at Yoongi and Namjoon now. They're in the world's biggest boy group to date. Chase after your dreams, but also have a back up plan in case things don't work out

This makes me saddd. I’ve wanted to be an idol for years now. I’ve practiced and practiced my dance and singing, I’m still working on rapping but I’m improving, I’m learning Korean and Japanese, I’m Chinese and can speak Mandarin and Cantonese, and I’m working on myself as much as I can(I have social anxiety and stage fright). I’ve watched idols so many times, watching their interviews to try and imitate their humor and charisma, watched their performances not only for the dance but so that I can try to copy their stage presence. I’ve done auditions before, but they were all online because I live in England so I never get feedback and o have no idea what I need to fix. I just don’t know what else I can do to be good enough. By now I’ve pretty much given up on becoming an idol tbh. I’m 14 already, going to be 15 in November, and nowadays idols even debut at 15/16, they probably audition at like 11/12. I’ve to want to dance and sing as my career since I first learnt how to dance, even before I knew kpop(idols) was a thing. And I don’t even just want it for that. I want the close bond and relationships that so many idols and trainees form, even if they don’t debut. My parents keep moving from place to place, so I never have any permanent friends, and I just want to know what a strong friendship actually feels like, not just someone I hang out with because they’re bored and all their other friends are busy. I also want to be able to inspire people as idols have inspired me. Now though I’m working towards getting into Cambridge for a medical degree(I want to become a psychiatrist). I’ll probably never lose my love for dancing and singing, it’s something I’ll probably never stop doing(well I might stop dancing when I’m old and I struggle to even walk). Whatever career I end up doing, I’ll always have a passion for dancing and singing, I might even make covers if I can get over my fear. I don’t know why I wrote this, but for some reason, this song just makes me feel sad. I feel so much regret for not being able to accomplish this, and for wasting years of my life on something that I’ll never achieve.
