Love how she says and enunciates ‘she has nothing to do with this. I’m the one you want’. She’s not afraid of the consequences anymore, but she’s still trying to protect Glinda
@@sheismymom Carmen's last note gets very wonky (and she even has to stop and take a breath), but you can hear someone in the ensemble sing that note very loudly when they enter. Kinda seems like someone recognized she was struggling and wanted to help cover for it.
Am I the only one who thinks crying is appropriate for this song 🤔 Like Elphie is going through a LOT right here - the only part I found really dodgy was the last battle cry but it's completely understandable that she's crying, I'd be a mess if I were in her shoes omg

Wasn’t too rough for someone crying while it was her last show on tour. She held her own for a very difficult song while breaking down realizing that this is the final time she gets to do that song

She did a great job. The fact she was able to keep the melody and stay on pitch for the most part while crying is pretty impressive
I know, right? :high5:
Do people think she was bad?
This was her last show and she was crying. She sounds incredible.
The ensemble Elphaba understudy was like "I got you sis"

Holy cow I didn’t even catch that! That’s so cool though
I've watched this a million times and I still don't hear where it isn't Carmen.
For being emotional, she still did a great job! Singing when your voice breaks is so hard.

Poor thing, Schwartz was seriously trying to fuck up some women’s chords when writing this
Nope....it was normal at first and healthy to sing. Lil Miss Menzel asked him to take it higher.

Cynthia was incredible in this role! Carmen and her are very different yet effective.
