I’ve always used an “under brake”, where you brake the center of your piece less than 90 degrees. You can hem your edges for extra strength for your fasteners. Just remember it doesn’t create a ridged shape, so handle it carefully so it doesn’t bend or crease. Works great for valley flashing as well.
