Gracie Fields entertains soldiers of the BEF (British Expeditionary Force) in France. She stands on a stage wearing a sparkly black top and long black skirt and sings 'Sing as We Go' and 'I'm Sending A Letter To Santa Claus'. She gets the troops to join in with the final song 'Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye' - the words are printed on a board and a man stands beside them - can't quite make out who he is.
