Congratulations to Eli, but also condolences to him, I grew up surfing Maui but had to move away 8 years ago, and I’m a bit older then you guys but I’ll always remember Eli as a super grom always one of the best at Lahaina harbor and when I think of that wave I think of Eli a mini grom ripping doing the most crazy airs you could possibly see a child do. A lot of really good memories surfing and boping around Lahaina town. It truly was one of my favorite towns to have a surf and then cruise or party. Last time I saw Eli was a free surf at the south side HB probably 4-5 months ago and I let him know how much I respect him representing Maui. And I’m extremely proud of him after the us open win. My thoughts and prayers are with the people back home. Crosby you have been surfing absolutely amazingly for the past few years and have absolutely proved yourself to be one of the best just like Grif.
