I was a DC Corrections Officer at Lorton and CTF, when the state of Tennessee kicked the DC inmates out due to their violence ways, they sent them dudes to CTF to get reclassified to go back to Lorton. I Had unit C2A shit, Man my key to success as a C/O was to show strength but also respect those dudes as men. 30 years later, I still got some of them Lorton dudes on speed dial, some good honorable men. One thing I can say about Lorton dudes, when they gave you their word, you could stamp it. CURT you need me on your show to talk about the other side💯

This is a really good interview. The flow is great!
There is a difference when it comes to black men. Told my brother he was mentally sound after doing 32 yrs in the feds. Ended up fucking with heroin in order to deal with the reality of how the world had change. Got himself together before he past away last year. True soldier...real DC brother.

He was in YC1 7 dorm with us, early 90s, Poopie James, Rob, Kirk Howard, on our side, on the other side of the dorm was one of the Mowatt twins, Young Benny Lee 🙏, and another partner from their crew. They use to play on my dorm team. Huck had a Painting easel and all that. Good dude. Sorry to hear that.

So many layers /levels I could comment on far as the subject matter of DC bk in the mid 80's- late 90's um um um !! I will only say through it all GOD BLESS ALL YALL KINGS / WARRIORS THAT MADE IT THROUGH MADE IT OUT BK INTO SOCIETY !! We lost so many black males along the way. Lots of fun times,wild as times, I could go on and on. As I have said b4 That era was a one of a kind. Man it needs and have to be a series show put together . Society/ The world don't understand omg !!! Not glorifying the violence at all . DC streets was like a whole nother world/ society. Regular society just don't know . ( smiling, laughing, reminiscing,smh all at the same time) no bs . 💯
For the record my Brother Duval Hucks was one of the most intelligent and articulate brother that you would wanna know and he wasn’t arrogant had three states on lock 🔒 and you never even knew his name you will hear it and different interviews but not from the people that truly knew him. Much respect to both of you OG's and this much-needed portion of the interview. If you're a Black American and especially were raised in da hood you have or had some level of PTSD. One of the best things I did was seek Mental and Spiritual/Holistic therapy. I'll be an advocate and supporter til the day I ascend with our Ancestors.
