- No real focus on this episode, basically another 'Random Rambles,' haha. The weather was nice, and I had to run around town to pickup some things, so figured why not take the Iron, and you Blockheads along with me!
Making stops at Bass Pro, CostCo, Home Depot and Best Buy, I do the norm and ramble on about stuff and thangs. I learned that zip tie technology has advanced, who'd have thought?! Also, CostCo pizza is delicious, and Best Buy always takes longer than expected.

lol, yeah it's gotten even colder here now, into the 40's over the weekend. However, our summers are horrible, so we definitely earn this nice weather while we briefly have it, haha

I have the same XENA disc lock break... apparently they suck, mine did the same thing; started going off for no reason. eventually had to take out the batt and just use it as a lock.
I love that bass pro I have spent hours in there just looking around.

Don't know how you feel about vests but Milwaukee Leather makes a conceal carry vest as well as some armored flannels with conceal carry pockets.
here in Wisconsin it is legal for scooters to part in the bike rack. I love it never have to pay for metered parking downtown!
thankfully in mexico filtering is legal, we in Mexico city Even have a space for bikes and motorcicles on the front of the lane, so cars have to stop behind that line and bikes in general can go there and be in front of the cars

Good video. I was collecting videos for a year now about my sportster for reference and I recall one that showed the JOHN DEERE blitz black IS....IS the paint that us used to make the matte black Harleys. OR it is the closest match on Earth. if you need to match a part to your harley, this paint is the way to go.

Just bought a 2018 iron 883 , black denim. It will be my first bike. I have ridden dirtbikes/ four-wheelers with clutch though. Great videos. Any tips for me starting on that bike?

Yo crazy vid of that dude getting rear ended.. something similar happened to me and put me out of commission for the season (not me physically but the bike). Haters abound but just keep doin what your doin.. they don't matter at all. Ride safe!

Very late, blockhead, but you should look into Appendix carry. I use T Rex Arms AIWB holsters for my G17 and 92G without issue, including riding.

Hey blockhead what security/ rotor lock is that? Can you find it on amazon or something? Didn’t know those come with an alarm. Right now I’m doing a ghetto way of putting a padlock on the end of the belt and pulley but wanted something more secure

Quick question bro on this video every time you stop you get a thing out of you bag, is that an alarm type thing? What do you recommend for extra security for your bike. Extra security? The disc brake lock + alarm in one helps a lot. Plus, always lock the handlebars, and leave it in gear. Cover it up if parking outside. Can have an alarm installed on it, lojack / tracking, and tons more options out there. There's even some options out there to lock it to the ground. Entirely depends on how far you're wanting to go with it. Good luck in LA! Hopefully store it inside :)
just bought my third bike, second Harley after i sold my other Harley. Went from a 2011 dyna wide glide (cause my wife and i had a baby 6 months ago so i sold her) to a 2013 iron 883 (because i regretted selling it almost immediately and i needed something cheap to justify) that i just bought from ebay with 800 miles on it. Haven't even got to ride it yet because i had it trailered straight to my mechanic for fresh fluids because the oil is the original that came with the bike 3+ years ago. anyways keep up the good work. I'm in South FL by the way. Seen a few of your videos and didn't know until this video that you're in FL also. Last thing, carry your damn piece! Find a new holster, new carry position, new smaller pewpew or something. The day you dont have it is the day you will need it. Stay safe. Oh...lastly lastly...definitely looking forward to your tank lift, wire tuck, etc vids. I'm planning to do the same thing, but I'll watch your videos first lol. Thanks brother

I have a question about that 883, which kind of exahust do you have? I think tose are v&h?. is there any sound difference between installing those pipes with the stock air filter rather than a high performance one like the screamin eagle?? and also is there any difference between that ones from the short shots?

+Marconi Hernández V&H big radius, they're deeper sounding than the short shots. Not sure the air cleaner makes much of a difference in the sound, wouldn't think so.

Used 2013 w/ 3k, I paid like $5-6k. Just gotta keep looking, they're out there! Market here is quite different though I'm sure. Best of luck!
BLOCKHEAD here where i live Arezzo (italy) there are actually 5 iron 883 on sale from 5.200 to 6000€ the only "problem" they are all the 2009 version (no ABS). And one the most badass looking is a 1996! I'm going to meet all the sellers next weeks

Google tips on buying a used bike, tons of lists out there. That's a video I'd like to do in the future, but for now, your best source is Google. As for cheapest, entirely depends on your area. Best of luck!
blockhead... what's the Alarm u are using and where do u get those? Don't really wanna pay to have an Alarm installed if I don't have to.
Hey Jason D. I use the Xena X15-SS Disc Alarm. It's a disc brake / rotor lock that has an alarm built into it. It's pretty sensitive, so if the bike moves, it goes off. I always lock the handlebars, put on the disc lock, and alarm, so if it's touched, it goes off at like 120dB I want to say. Plus the wheel can't rotate since it's locked to the rotor, so even if someone were to try and roll it, it'd be really difficult. Anything to deter those with sticky fingers!

The carbon fiber weave has started fraying on my right knuckles, but other than that, they've been pretty solid thus far, and I've had them for about 5 months.
Hey how tall are you??? I'm new to your channel and you may have said it on a previous vid but I haven't seen it. Just asking because I'm thinking of getting an 883 and you seem like you fit well on the bike and I'm 6' 1".
5' 10". Best piece of advice I can give you is to go down to the dealership and sit on one to see if it fits. Probably will be ok at 6'1", possibly would be more comfortable with forward controls. Checkout the 48's as well.
