The Fire Alarm wasn't pulled and it wasn't a prank - there was a small kitchen fire in one of the buildings.

@@GamerAhmer Yeah, you absolutely should make it out there at least once. I finally made it out there myself this year and it beats anything we have on our side of the country. The vendor floor is a little larger than TMG and the array of interesting panels meant that I barely got to visit the show floor on Saturday. (Though I was not prepared for the vendor floor closing so early on Saturday.) Plus, you can't go wrong with The Last Blockbuster being represented.
Also, it was revealed at the show that the Nintendo Playstation (now officially the Playstation Zero following a complaint from Nintendo) is back on tour.

At least I was too. I was in the high score challenge tournament for Pac-Mania, and Pac & Pal.
Even I was meet Paul E. Niemeyer, Phil Moore, and Timothy Krizrow, cuz they're surprise me.
And last but not least.....I was on the special interview for the Old School Gamer Magazine.

Haha - the fire alarm was annoying but not a prank. It was caused by one of the vendor kitchens that accidently set off the fire alarm. Whoops! That post-fire announcement was the most annoying! Hope you had a great visit. You actually caught me for a few frames in your video. :D

From what I heard it was a legit fire that was in one of the kitchens.
Also been going to PRGE for the last 11 years and first time the fire alarm went off.
The expo was so good this year dispute the fire evacuation.

I spoke to some Oregon convention Center workers and they said that there was actually a pipe burst in the heating system and that is what triggered the fire alarm. So it wasn't a prank, it wasn't arson but it was super annoying
So I am a retro gamer UA-camr from Washington who now lives in Portland. Actually the Oregon Trail ended at around Fort Vancouver which was right across the Columbia River from PDX airport. So I know you're making an Oregon trail computer game joke, but historically speaking you're like right there at the end of the Oregon Trail.

Omg they need this in New York! Retro gaming is becoming very big. So many ppl going back to the old school games.
There are a couple of retro cons in New York. I have seen a few buddies go to those cons and had fun.
Depending on which part of New York you're in, you've got Gamecon up in Syracuse, Long Island Retro Expo in the aviation museum in Long Island, Too Many Games down in Philly, or Retro World Expo over in Hartford. Of the four I would say that Retro World is the most like Portland but on 1/2 scale, but all those shows offer unique experiences.
1:19 I’m on the right! Going here was a lot of fun, getting an Intellivision 2 with two add-ons for only $100 when the console itself goes for that price was the best part and deal for me! As staff that got in Ten or so minutes earlier I can agree the stupid Message went on for way too long.
Great footage and upload! Looks like a great experience to have. The music loop got to be a bit too repetitive, not complaining but maybe something to keep in mind for long stretches without narration. That said, I enjoyed your video and your channel has a lot of stuff that interests me so you have a new subscriber now!

PRGE is such a great show! Bummed out that we didn't get a chance to meet you, though! The show is so big that there's never enough time for everything. That fire alarm was really something. I'm glad they got us back in quickly, though. Hopefully you'll be back next year!

That alarm sucked. We had just walked inside when it went off. Just went to Burgerville up the street and waited forever in that line. By the time we got back it was like nothing had happened. Enjoyed the rest of the day.

it's very game console oriented, but I spotted macs and lisas. Was there a section for vintage* (*pre-1996) PC games?
Yes, there were PCs from every era at the con. Some were in rooms on the side, near the panels.

Some of the vendors had a handful of games. A lot from the big box era as well.
I managed to nab a CiB Legend of Kyrandia 3 for my collection. Usually have to search for the booths that do have some PC stuff.
