@@justanother240 Shouldn't other classes that do better in close environments such as melees go inside the enemy bases? While it is pretty difficult to open as a rogue in the middle of 10vs10, the base is a much more comfortable place for rogues for example, because they won't see three people jumping on them as soon as they appear. On the other hand, the extra range and easy damage fire mage has would be wasted.. bombs exploding on his own sheeps since the players are too close and all the los that happens inside the bases for a class without slows. The range fire mage has can pretty much cover the entire warsong width and staying in the middle is an effective way according to the class to cause as much offense mitigation with the time lost healing/eating after these bombs when they don't die to the high damage or lose a lot of time in these cc's. It may seem careless, or a sort of an egocentric stance to farm damage and kill there, which I won't really go in details because a safer flag is natural consequence of what he is doing since warsong is a linear bg. By staying in the only path between flags, it is an alternate way to defend the flag, but in this case, fire mage is one of the best specs to dominate the middle by causing problems to most of the team - of course a single player doesn't do miracles alone but the position where he can mathematically cause most time loss with this specific class is in the middle. There are cons of doing this? Of course, such as not being there for the flag carrier when he needs help, however.. mages can't heal so the cc's should be coordinated and the bombs shouldn't explode on the sheeps (fire mages are not known for close environments/arena viability) of course he could definitely help, blast wave can win games. But it would take a greater effort in conjunction with the whole team, and it is rare to have a team filled with people that can communicate and comprehend well at first, it is part of being human to face situations like this unless they are prepared (pre made). Communication is key but communication is not one sided and this video is definitely not about the other players Bgs are a lot more unorganized than arenas, and for the sake of that nature, frost/arcane spec are not so viable because hard casting won't be forgiven not the cc's will be respected accordingly. People break polys and roots by attacking everything without a sense of direction which is expected from a server with several different languages and different game experiences and views such as yours, mine or of the player in question In warsong, fire is the most viable way to play to cause a major impact. But of course, this is video with a specific title and he does play alone most of the time with this spec and we clicked on it knowing the title of the video, it is a show off that may trigger a few people, it is ego feeding and somewhat self-inserting for those who can grasp a little of what is going on. It is possible to admire something, even if his motives are not aligned with a solid objective of a battleground, as there are many many ways to play a game and have fun with it as we let the game adapt to our tastes. While the original poster pointed out the written objective of the game, you somehow compared it as a bad food and this might be a little divergent to the original idea of the first comment. You define it as bad regarding a totally different parameter you know? This was not about winning the battleground and if you follow the content creator you know he posts videos where bgs are lost, the thing is.. the flag play was not the point of the video. If you permit me to also make a comparison, it is like you tried to found spicyness contest in a lemon sandwich when you are thinking of a pepper sandwich Sorry for the long text, it is understandable that people look for different things and value different things, some even go to places they know they wont find what they are looking for only to blame the circumstances they put themselves in rather than their choices And yeah you might have noticed, but I kind of got tired of the average pvp comment driven by emotions such as factions or whatever ego fuel is involved. I hope at least one person reads this to the end and stops wasting their lives on useless negativity because of a game

If you are not so worried about your stats you might actually help your team win faster.
