You may have sold only one painting at your gallery show, but it holds a place of honor on my wall 😊
hell yeah dude! Grateful for your support 😁
Thats so excellent that you saw this and commented..what a nice gift for kip...like him being vulnerable and sharing that experience gave you the chance to bless him..I love the synchronicity of this
You are awesome.
Legend! I'm sure it presents itself great!
Perfect
Great work and one of the coolest canvas reveals I have seen on UA-cam!
Thanks Doke! Cheers!
As a fellow artist and muralist, the way you control a spray can AND a brush is phenomenal. Your pieces are fantastic.
Thanks! appreciate it!
agreed
Not sure what I was seeing and listening. But the part where u said u weren’t ready for painting and having your own show. I call bullshit. Those pieces of work were all incredible. Wish I could own one. Lol. Keep doing you bro. The artwork is sick. I’ve followed you for years. Found u going through a divorce and binge watched every video. Incredible. Continued success
Absolutely sick. You are so immensely talented and no one is better at telling a story. I love watching your works come together, but I may enjoy how you narrate the story and edit the videos just as much! Keep it going, brother! ❤❤❤
that means a lot, glad to hear it!!
that reveal at the end with the narration was incredible. pulled everything together so well.
I do not usually enjoy watching any videos longer than 15, maybe 20 minutes. But, I would sit still and watch yours for an hour or more. I have subscribed as I have learned the most about art/painting just watching a few of yours. I began watching your wall paintings and by listening to your descriptions of what, why, or how you accomplish these things. I've only recently begun painting on canvas the last 3 or 4 years, watching UA-cam vids and other things as I've learned and felt my way around.
This video right here has cemented my thoughts about the process on my own and I do not enjoy doing what everybody else does just because "they" do it. I don't just listen to what you say but, meld it with my own experience, feeling that someone "gets" what I do or say. Although I'm still just beginning, I'm no where near your talent or experience. But I'm still growing. I'll get there. Watching you work, I'm comfortable going along for the ride. And knowing I'm not alone. We both do things at our own level. So, thanks. I'm glad I've found this channel. Just never stop creating.
Ps. I'm a 67 year old student. Still learning, now creating. 😊
Your editing skills have grew just as much as the rest of your artistic talent. I enjoy comin to the channel for the joy of watching your stories. The amazing art is a bonus, but the storytelling is top notch
Thank you so much 😀
the girl with the horns in the middle is so good! I really love the colour pallet you used in this one. Really good!
Thanks Smoe! Glad you liked it!
No one inspires me more than kipteo to better my own art…Big ups broski
keep going bro 💪
I only lasted 1 1/2 semesters, but back in 1985 when I went to the Art Institute in Dallas they had a room filled with media like art books, a few comics, and a gazillion magazines that we were encouraged to use for whatever. Those Nat Geo were awesome for inspiration for sure. Very cool to see Kiptoe go a little 'old school' haha :) If you read this, your color pallets, and entire videos, are always interesting & inspiring, thanks .
haha thats so cool Eric! I thought the Nat Geos were such a cool source of inspo. Thanks for watching!
Please don't stop painting ❤❤❤
They way you use colour palettes and make your paintings looks so clean is really fascinating to me
absolutely LOVE how you put this creation together with a story! I am a 64 yr old Indigenous Artist and found your site this morning, starting off the day with inspiration!
Love that you are so honest about your inspirations and processes. Love the painting, great storytelling and love the colours.
thanks so much Sam!
OMG, I can hear people screeching and screaming from here at every page rip. There are people who collect those and they have some with HUGE value. I wish I could of attended, I would love to own one of those paintings, or even one of your paint cans, just struggling at the moment. This work turned out FANTASTIC!
Kudos to the camera work and the production. Stellar quality!
You've always pushed the boundary between displaying your creativity through a variety of mediums (fine arts together with video), but this one takes the cake. From learning of a new method to find inspiration from tired old magazines, to hearing the story behind the painting at the end, this is the pinnacle of being a fly on the wall sitting behind an artist!
I wish you knew how truly talented you are and how inspiring your art is. You don't give yourself enough credit!
I thought to myself that the feathers were extra refined this time around and then your take at 12:30 reassured I’m sure you know it too! Always amazing to see the developments
As soon as you said, thrift store and National Geographic in one sentence, I clicked the LIKE button...I just knew you were going to turn out another masterpiece. :-)
Thanks Robina! :)
I have just shown my advanced Art students your stunning artwork. They have been truly inspired by your process and work ethic. Please continue to work to this amazing standard and exhibit when you can to show the world how creative we can be - when we are inspired by nature.
The fact that your ad reads are so well done and tell a great story (loved the little figures in it, and smiled when you took an ear bud out to share with the figure) is amazing.
Just icing on the rest of the video and project/piece.
Which is amazing.
Your style and inspirational tone is always a kick in the pants to get out and try some new stuff. Keep being you!
Im glad you think so! Thanks so much :) Will do!
I don't normally comment on your vids but this is f'n awesome. Your a true artist. Unlike most of the simple shapes crap in galleries these days that's being falsely hailed as "art", this is the real deal. Bravo!
The message you included in the end about the man forging a new path and self doubt creeping in is very relatable to my situation right now, great piece of work!!!
The final reveal was awesome with the supported sound design walkthrough - the different angles really giving the piece justice! - Also that was an absoulte sealll of a bargin for all of them magazines, gawd dayum!
thanks for putting inspiration into my day ..I'm 71 from oz ..never to old for being lifted by guys like you with your obvious artistic disadvantages ..keep on ..on kiptoe!
thanks Denji, rock on!
The amount of HQ thumbs u produced is insane. Sometimes if I come up with one decent idea that's a success haha 🌴🎭
I can’t imagine the hours of hard work and imagination in the art itself plus the editing… Amazing job !
Damn man, I'm a 65 year old dude who just got started trying to paint, right now I kinda suck,ha ha but you have been an inspiration for me. Wonderful video brother.
I think the hardest part for an artist is to "get out of their own way" That inner battle critic simply needs to take a hike. Just DO. Great work and love your process.
This is one of the realest art talks I have ever heard anywhere. Thank you for your honesty, man
Dude I have been painting for years, but that tip about painting antlers and elements like that is REALLY, REALLY good! Haha, never thought about that.
A trilogy is an AWESOME idea. I mean, you've really inspired me to try something with a paintbrush just to see what I can do, but I'm looking forward to seeing more with this idea. Thank you for sharing this, your art gallery story, & the creative description of this painting. Also, the magazine inspiration, threw me. I'd just never have thought of old National Geographic inspiring something like this. WOW!
As a young artist working hard on getting into galleries and shows, I don't know if you ever feel truly ready. I've only managed to get into one show in four years of applying. Also, I resonate so hard with the no-studio work with your canvases- all my work is done on my bedroom wall and floor. Micro-collage is easier than great big canvases in that sense 😂
I have to say I’m so addicted was watching your videos. It’s so inspiring and so self healing. Thank you for sharing your wonderful tell him with the world.👏🏽👏🏽
My art teacher in high school had us do this same thing. We made some great fantasy works. This is an excellent way to get inspiration. Keep on spilling paint
Genuinely one of my favorite pieces of art I’ve ever seen
I'd love to see this as a series! Between the storytelling from you, Ten Hun, and Jazza, I will be forever entertained
I'm a fan of your work, and I'm also an artist and I do agree that these types of paintings are so much fun. LOL, I also look for inspiration in magazines and photographs I take of my everyday life as I go to different places. Awesome!
Well i have been watching you for a couple of years and it really amazing to see how your art has evolved over time.... one thing i have seen is your proportions that makes your character come alive has been the biggest improvement and that gives that high fantasy mix with reality
Omg, nostalgia, I used to spend hours just looking through the photos 😂
Once again, you have impressed me not only with your artistic painting talent which always blows my mind but the way you make your videos. You are IT my friend!
It would be mind blowing to see this on the cover of a graphic novel. The story you described at the end sounds super interesting.
you're so inspiring, totally on another level and so underrated.
It's refreshing to see someone who is different from all the others so intriguing
Every video you make is just epic ! Keep creating 💙💙💙
This piece is SOOOO beautiful! I have always been a creative person and am a HUGE fantasy nerd. And I thought the paintings in your exhibit were freakin' epic, man! Please keep going and sharing your work cuz I LOVE it!
I love Natinoal Geographic magazines and I have a few, I also liked the Smithsonian magazines. They have some beautiful pictures and you have taken Collage art to a new level.. Good Work! I love it, I am subscribed, thumbs up and commented.. will watch more..thank you.
great painting!!!, love the idea of using old magazines as inspiration
In my humble opinion…. You were ready for your exhibition …. Great work homie…. Inspirational no doubt
I've been so uninspired for months now, and seeing this, finding you? This is one of the most stunning pieces of art I've ever laid my eyes upon. Absolutley mesmerizing, I adore. Thank you.
this is beyond brilliant the man is not just an artist ,the story n the way he tells it and it made so much sense with the painting, and the concept and color pallet is just mindblowing as always
Awesome!
I have used the eye popping photography of National Geographic as a source of inspiration for decades.
NO matter what.... I'm still your fan and follow your blogs!
Love it Kip-toe, you have always been a visionary storyteller . I notice that from the jump. Even your video work from the beginning I saw that and really loved how genuine you are. You can bring your audience into whatever your creating while you explore your process. I love that about you, cuz as an artist we get what your saying. Love that you had a sponsor on mental issues cuz lord knows we all have them in our lifetime. So glad to see you challenging your canvas skills. Really glad I watched your video. Just a little secret, after watching you I always wanting to go paint. Thanks for being a great artist, teacher, storyteller, videographer, scriptwriter , video editor and all that I am forgetting. So many people really don’t understand it’s not just the art you had to learn. Bro this is a great video. My favorite parts the broken antler and the mysterious cowboys venture. It’s been a while but know your on my list of artist who touched my inner core. Your beautiful and keep on riding! Or is it writing😂 love from Texas
The quality of this video is top notch. Love your work but your videos are so well done for UA-cam.
As an artist who works in a completely different way I have to say I love watching you work. So cool.
Cool stuff! I like how describe the the difference between working on a large wall versus a canvas and how big wall has its own gravitas just from the size alone. So true! what's great is that your walls can act as billboards for your canvas or "gallery" works.
As an artist this was very informative. As a consistent wanderer and explorer of the unknown this was acutely accurate. As a soul seeking refuge within an impossible world this was inspiring. Keep up the good work brother. Your story telling and will to help will bring forth the gold...
Thanks for being sincere in your videos! keep it up!!
Love how honest Kiptoe is about his life and experiences…no fronting
just gotta put it out there!
Thank you for sharing part of your art journey with us Kiptoe!
I hope you feel a true sense of pride in your growth as a person, story teller and artist because you have definitely earned it
Keep up the good work brother and thanks for being an inspiration!
thanks for that! Its a journey! Glad to hear it :)
Another excellent vid. Thanks for being vulnerable man. It would be super easy to allow ego to run the ship and just make it all seem so easy. But I respect you so much more for being real. It's important to know who you are before and after art shows. Your identity never hinges on the paintings you sell. Much more are the lives touched in the course of your life. Keep doing what your doing brother . I'll say it again because I believe it. I can't wait to be working on our first project together. Not because of any money or fame..but because it will mean you and I chose a project to change the world with. Hmu when your ready.
Hey, you should add a drinking bottle or flask designed similar to your spray cans to your shop, those look so dope! Imagine seeing someone in the gym drinking out of a bottle like that
I am absolutely speechless. The process, the thoughts, the outcome. Really really cool and beautiful! You are an amaaaaazing artist. Wow!!! I am rooting for you! 💪🥳❣
What they've been through. Now that's a great title for a gallery exhibit. Good vid, bro.
Thank you for your amazing art and your frankness in talking about mental health. The part of your video on you and the critic was great! You are such a wonderful storyteller through painting and video. The critic can be so freaking loud in the quietness and isolation of doing art. Audiobooks online from the library have been my saving grace from the critic (bonus they are free). Better than music most days. It was fascinating to see how you come up with ideas for your fine art on canvas. Thank you!
My good sir !!!!
You are AMAZING!!!!
I'm creating a 2' x 4' painting, of a figure, just like this video, (with my own different theme), & was feeling stuck & overload yesterday, how I want to go about building on my base composition. (part of the painting imagery is decided, but still a lot to figure out). I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do to work this out, not wanting to take massive time for a lot of versions; struggling whether to use paper/ pen/ paint/ markers, or digital. I was not thinking of this simple skill from art college (after a lot of life demands/ harms, etc, disruption). I prayed for help, & my search led to this video, reminding me exactly what to do to get moving... using my own sources, ideas, etc. Note to self: Remember this video.
Sainer and Aryz are my top two favorite artists- cool to see them pop up in your video!
Wow! Your video popped up in my feed, so it's the first I've seen. I'm totally blown away by the story you were able to create and the flow of your video documenting your own adventure in painting. Looking forward to more!
Actually you are a fine artist. Your draftsmanship is superb. You could be a permanent fine artist if you just accepted that you are good. Bloody good.
I love this painting for sure and love that there were alot of indian pictures in the magazine...
I don't have any skills that have to do with artistry but I want to be an artist and am already motivated by your work 🔥🔥🔥u have so much talent
I legit want to run to the nearest craft store and buy a canvas now! you're an inspiration pal.
This is incredible. The whole process is so inspiring and unique.
Oh, I like the story you have told connected to your great picture. You're a great artist (excuse my English, I"m writing from Germany)
New subscriber. Very interesting process. I would have been finished on the tablet. But you showed me I would not have been finished. You are not a lazy painter. I very much enjoyed this video. You have inspired me to be more productive and less lazy. 💝💝💝
Just a recommendation
On a lot of walls there’s Problem areas we get too!
I haven’t heard you mention if you lay down a sealer and patch compound. It sure works for us to safe our paint jobs! Great video again Thanks ❤
Can't wait for the next part. You've always had that magic in the that you do. You take me along with the journey and kinda experience what your art is trying to convey. Thank you 😊🙏
Dude, this must be my favorite of all your canvases.. plus, your three chosen artists are, along with NYCHOS my top 3. Great video man, keep it up!
The inspiration levels just climbed after seeing this 🙌🏽🙌🏽
I love watching the process of people finding references.
It’s a skill set that I’m really lacking in and I know it would elevate my art. I’m just really bad at the process.
Nat Geos are a great idea to keep off the devices.
give it a try!
So inspiring. Thank you! Your painting is so nice and I love the commentary you added to it on the reveal. Beautiful!
Aside: This is also the one time, to date, when I appreciated the narrative associated with a sponsor (outside of the business verbiage).
I love how you used the Sámi boys national suit swags as inspiration to clothes the character in the middle has even it wasn’t the main focus. The suit on the boy, if I’m not mistaken is Enontekiö (Finland)-Kautokeino (Norway) area national suit.. anyone knows better may correct the fact and the way you made the horns talking about history reflects what they have gone through hits the time and date at the moment cause the nation of Sámi is going through a lot at this very moment of time because of the Sámi Parliament of Finland law bill and how the government is not handeling it well for the natives. As a person growing up in these areas with them, this was the most inspiring part of the painting for me. To add the swags in the national suit tells which area the person is from, his status in the community, marital status and whole a lot of history.
Phenomenal painting, epic story telling, excellent videography. 10/10 on all counts. Great work man!
Well, this is from i'm talking about. A.I. can blow me.
It's so much great and excited when person put effort, imagination and personal craft. Great work, dude. I'm very impressed how much effort you put there and the end result to.
That an idea i never think of or mayb I have limit.. brother kiptoe never out of creativity
I completely enjoy watching your videos, and your work unfold. Plus you sitting on the space heater in this one just cracked me up!
man it gets so freaking cold! 🥶😅
Really you’re the most appealing art youtuber in Editing and Shots!
Can’t wait to see an video on “ How do you do the story boarding or video planning process”.
Love you , Kiptoe.
You are so inspiring
Thanks for showing your choice of getting inspired.Taking a break from computers is so important to having originality. Thanks for being so uplifting and for being real. Dude you are so super talented!!!!!!❤🎨❤️🎨
Exactly how I did my monotypes for my BFA show. Old NGs, collaged.
Love the final touchings that you added to the painting. It gave it a pop
yes, final touches are always so juicy 😋
Hay my brother if I can say one thing it's we see what we are trying to put out there in our art all different ways it's the ones who can relate that see it first but other take time to appreciate what's been said in the painting the way you done your own story to this one helps them to see and understand better well done mate from a person who has loss his art ways you help me to connect back to it cheers buddy all the best and most of all keep up the good art work 👍
Really loving these smaller painting vids. The video edits are so fun
inspirational mate, fantastic painting!
Wow! You're such an hard working artist and I love the direction your art is going. You're an inspiration!
thanks so much!
The story at the end was awesomeness
Wonderful video, I love this canvas. I'm torn between deeply wanting this to grace my walls and wanting to fish out my canvas and do something inspired by this with rich copper colors. Very cool dude.
Love this! The bird eyes and goddess are amazing and I really love the one antler detail.
What a great source of inspiration, some really great stills. Loved the result of the painting it really seemed more refined as you mentioned yourself. Can't wait for the next two. Keep killing it!
