Planting Anemone coronaria 'Mr. Fokker' - Ep. 139

- After planting Anemone coronaria 'Mr. Fokker' in the Memorial Garden last year, I decided I'd get three dozen more to plant throughout and potentially lift them in the winter. They are supposedly not hardy to Zone 5/6, which is where I am. It was, however, a warm winter, so I was surprised to see last year's plants emerge this year-and quite early at that! The ones I planted this year also came up slightly earlier than expected, which just goes to show you-you can't predict the weather!
Special thanks to @EspomaOrganic for partnering with us on the video.

It’s a wonderful surprise when plants come back that really aren’t supposed to. Thank you Ms. Summer.🌸💚🙃
That blue color is sweet
I always appreciate plant suggestions...Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful flowers!!! Enjoy!!! 🪴🙋🏼♀️🌿💚🐩
Am in UK - I planted some if these anemones in a pot and some in a group in my border 🪻🌿🪻 looking forward to seeing how they flourish 🤞
Haha, so beautiful, I love the swallow in her nest. I just ordered Mr. Fokker corms even though its way too late, maybe they will be OK for next spring - I may put in half now just in case they might still bloom this year.
Warmest regards
Jennie
Your garden is full of surprises. The colors are soothing. Will try those next year. Are all of these flowers suited for possible windy conditions? Another subject: My Wisconsin backyard program /UA-cam video from 3 days ago, starts out with unicycles, but later on, they show a short mushroom farm segment. Amazing. Safe travels. Still caring for chickens, in Brooklyn? ❤
Where did you buy your corms Summer? They are stunning and I need some for my garden 🥹
Is the cultivar named for the Meet the Fokkers film?
