Hope you enjoyed this one! And as always, links to everything I use like the CarPro DLUX and Adams wheel and tire cleaners are in the description if you want your wheels protected and looking sick! Name that tune: Johnny A - Oh Yeah!
Detail Geek, got a question for you about rims. I got a new Toyota Tacoma with black powder coated rims that are more of a mat finish. I was cleaning myvwheels and rims and accidnently left on my tire cleaner spray. After washing it and rinsing it my rims now have dullness to them. I cant seem to get rid of this. Any suggestions or am I just going to have to live with my mistake.
In Oklahoma I have the same tires on my truck until I need new ones. Some people though have "street tires", they're m/t's, and then offroading tires, competition sticky compound tires.
I just cleaned my winter wheels yesterday. Not in so many steps and definitely not ceramic coated but cleaned none the less. Between the rubber and the rims you have a couple thousand dollars invested. You take care of them and it will serve you well for a long time.
You do amazing work, dude. If for some reason you ever get lost in the Southern California area and happen to have all your detail supplies with you, you've got a customer in me lol.
To dry off the rims quicker, use a mini blower/vac. I paid $25 USD at my local appliance parts store. It's light and powerful for it's size. I use mine to blow out my dyer vent. Amazon has better quality ones and cordless ones but they run up to $200 USD.
Hey bro Stoners Tarminator works great at getting that blooming off just spray it on a towel and rub it off the tire. Learned that tip form Matt at Obsessed Garage. Mineral Spirts works to but that’s for stubborn stuff.
Couple questions about process: to deep clean, why not use megs wheel brightner , did you surface prep before application and when applying, did you apply to whole wheel before removal?
Great video. Most videos about cleaning your wheels just shows how to clean the rim but cleaning the tyre itself and especially the tread is also important to not ruin the tyres during storage.
Not sure if you ever answered this question. How do you soften your water that you use for cleaning vehicles and whatnot? Is it a usual pellet softener system or a Reverse Osmosis system? If the pellet softener, o you think the RO system would pay for itself eventually with how often you're using water?
Would you be able to do a video on how to clean minivan door tracks? Mine are dirty and I don't know how to clean inside(wiring, and grooves). Would greatly appreciate it!
I ran out of videos to watch on your other channel so here I am learning how to clean wheels even though I’ll never do this in my life 😅😅 can’t wait for your new video tomorrow!! ❤️
Hi! Quest question to an old subject here. How would you deal with corrosion on aluminum? I have some tires that is only being used in the wither season and the surface of the alloy is corroded. Is there a way to remove that and protect the wheels against corrosion from salt and weather?
I have the same rims and tires and performed the same steps as you with the same products and the rims look amazing. I highly recommend doing the same and your maintenance cleaning will be a breeze.
I have a ford escape last time I deep cleaned the inside was around March 2020 and the wheels have never ever been cleaned pls tell me where u got that stuff👍
You should show how you would polish forged wheels just curious I use Zephyrs polishes Pro25 and a foam polishing pad on my polished and within minutes I have mirrors for wheels!
Nice job. When I did mine, I realized that the kneeling pad I picked up for $4.99 at Harbor Freight was the best investment I ever made since I began detailing!
I had a set of really rusty wheels that I wanted to restore. 80 grit sandpaper to remove rust then spray paint in mat black and they look better than when I bought them .
Only you could make OEM wheels look that good! Have you ever considered using the Iron decon before the wheel cleaner? My thoughts are why take a brush to a painted wheel before you remove the iron? It's a good pre rinse and you still get the same color change.
Because there could be all kinds of dirt on top of the iron, causing it to be missed. Wheels need to be as clean as possible before using the iron to ensure it’s as effective as possible 👍🏻
Nice. I wish my fusion had all black rims. But now that I got a 5 year feynlab coat on them I’m stuck 😂 too expensive to get new rims and re coat them. 💀
How long would you say those bottles of rubber and wheel cleaners last? Also does iron remover take wax off or am I fine to use it on my truck without having to reapply a wax?
I love the way you do the cleaning of each vehicle that you have worked .... but I have a question, when you finish polishing and polishing the body, do you use any special product to protect the paint and polishing?
Great video buddy. Although I must admit there are a few things I do differently personally. For example, I would never ceramic coat wheels unless they have been machine polished first. Especially black wheels. They look terrible in the sun with a ceramic coating if they haven't been polished first. Secondly, I like to heat the tyres first, apply a product like Fireball and then get the wheels under the curing lamps. But I guess it depends how much the customer is willing to pay.
It depends entirely on what the customer wants to pay for. They didn’t want the wheels polished, just easier to clean. The bill was already high enough for the rest of the car so I get it...though it would have been nice to get them polished up.
@@TheDetailGeek2 true true. Do you ever get frustrated because you can see SO MUCH potential in a customers vehicle but they just want a standard detail? Drives me bonkers sometimes. Lol.
I have the exact same rims on my vehicle except I have been trying to get rid of some very stubborn streaks without success. They were there when i bought the vehicle and after trying a few different wheel cleaners I saw this video and thought maybe someone could help me figure this out. So does anyone know of anything that would help? The streaks look like dried on water streaks in majority of the spokes and are very visible after a wash when the rest of the rim is very shiny. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated in getting my tires looking as good as the ones in this video!!!
Bro how about doing the same procedure but the the base old black rims that comes on a stock version of the car, is it good? As long as I keep em all on good condition I mean.
I think UA-cam glitched again. It’s removing people’s settings on the Bell. I had it set to all for both channels and it’s only been giving me notifications and putting the main channel in my feed. It’s actually done this to several of the channels I follow and several youtubers have commented that their views are down and had comments back from subs that the same thing is happening with the bell settings for people they follow. So if for some reason your getting less views than normal, maybe say something in one of your videos or put a message out on your community page so people know to go back and check their settings. But on the plus side, I’m now gonna binge watch all the ones I missed. 😁
Hope you enjoyed this one! And as always, links to everything I use like the CarPro DLUX and Adams wheel and tire cleaners are in the description if you want your wheels protected and looking sick!
Name that tune: Johnny A - Oh Yeah!
Can you do livestreams while on quarantine? That would be awesome
I am becomeing a detailer because of you

This is such a luxury to have summer wheels cause its summer all year long here in Fl xD Nice job ad always!
@@upandcominggamer no salt, no snow no rotten bolts ..
Nice job you are the reason why I’m trying to become a car detailer
In Canada, you have normal wheels and summer wheels.. In the U.S., we have normal wheels and winter wheels.. lol
In Florida, we have the set that came with the car
Yeah, I have winter studless, and "summer mud and snows" :D
In ireland we got the same tyres untill their bald

And its not even Friday yet.... what a treat! Bonus
I'm slowly buying my car detailing products you recommend to try and do my best Mitch. wish me luck!
You can absolutely do it!
That’s amazing. Cars, seats, windows, TIRES and any anything else you do? AWSOME and cool.
Now that's how you clean your rims my wife always gets mad cause I pull of the rims to clean them but for sure need to get the polish top coat

Love Adam's Tire and Wheel Cleaners followed by their Tire Armor and ceramic for the wheels.

Great job using the Adams Tire & Rubber cleaner! I find it does the BEST job and is a breeze to use. (And the Adams Rim cleaner too!)
Well done! I give you an "eh +" for a grade 😀
🤣 thanks!
I see what you did there Jeremy! 😂👍🏼
Okay that’s it now I have to ceramic coat my wheels 🤷♂️
I always always learn something new when I watch your videos!
He made those wheels look suuuper pretty again!
It's really nice to hear the pressure water sound!

Finallyyy!! This is the video I’ve been waiting for I just love watching the tires get cleaned!!😂😂
BRO those are so nice... i couldn’t tell how bad the wheel was once you’ve seen the new clean ver. It’s amazing!
Nice! It’s great to have them off the car. In Cali we don’t need to but, maybe I should try it 🤔
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone use a drill brush to clean tires, that’s dedication right there 👍🏻
I would be scared to use those wheels for getting them dirty again😂
I have waited so long for two days that it is too much, but finally this creativity....
Would you be able to do a video on how to clean minivan door tracks? Mine are dirty and I don't know how to clean inside(wiring, and grooves).
Would greatly appreciate it!
Best video I've seen on detailing wheels and tires

The most satisfying part of any wheel detail is removing the sticky wheel weight residue. It’s a PTA to remove but looks so much better👍🏻
I have the same rims and tires and performed the same steps as you with the same products and the rims look amazing. I highly recommend doing the same and your maintenance cleaning will be a breeze.
Why you not cleaning the disk brake ?
Amazing to see how much effort you put into your work; detailing and editing your videos. Keep it up!
Great to see this in real-time and not sped up. Nice!

At .30 seconds
Behind valve stem....
Hi! I got a question. How do you remove water stains or white stains from black rims? I always clean mine but I never got those stains out.
Can u detail an engine bay and undercarriage?

Just did the same thing, exept mine was in storage for about a month after the coating was laid on. Greeting from norway, love your channel!
Nice. I wish my fusion had all black rims. But now that I got a 5 year feynlab coat on them I’m stuck 😂 too expensive to get new rims and re coat them. 💀

I have a 2020 honda accord sport. Glossy black rims what can I use to not scratch the Glossy black and clean my tire and rims
Any advice on what to do to winter wheels before they get put up on the shelf for summer?
what pressure should my pressure washer be set too when washing wheels, is there such thing as "too aggressive pressure" 1200 psi?
Hi. Could u use that ceramic spray u use on the car instead? Have u tried it on wheels... Would be a good comparison vid. Cheers 🤔
How long would you say those bottles of rubber and wheel cleaners last? Also does iron remover take wax off or am I fine to use it on my truck without having to reapply a wax?
Best Channel

And hot to clean windows without damaging a tint?
I love the way you do the cleaning of each vehicle that you have worked .... but I have a question, when you finish polishing and polishing the body, do you use any special product to protect the paint and polishing?
Can you make a video on how you dilute all the stuff that you use please 👍🏼
Any recommendations on how to revive aluminum wheels?
What's the best way (product) to use to get faint scatches off of the black barrels of my American Force wheels?? TIA

Thank you for the info on the tires. Mine are brown in spots also, and I was wondering what to do.
Can you do a video of how to properly clean your engine?

Thank you 😁
It would be nice if you could show how you clean dirty beige color seat belts.
Amazing...one request friend try to make on windshield cleaning and protection..thanks in advance
Is a wheel and tire cleaner good enough to remove any previous dressing on tires or do you need a degreaser?
Try some S100 Special Performance Gel Wheel Cleaner. its for Motorcycles but its the best wheel cleaner made, Bar none
Bro how about doing the same procedure but the the base old black rims that comes on a stock version of the car, is it good? As long as I keep em all on good condition I mean.
Do you not buff off the coating after it kicks like you would with a paint ceramic treatment?
It’s really cool because I was your 32nd subscriber on this channel!
