Very nice. I tore my ACRA down to singular components, cleaned every screw, replaced every bearing with ABEC7 class bearings, checked and re-scraped ways and gibs as needed, stripped all paint and repainted. Finally an component by component level of re-tramming which ultimately leads to a much higher level of tolerance than new. This project taught me a lot about bearing tolerance classes. What a buttery smooth machine when ABEC 7 and above, zero vibrations.
... same concerns I got, Max . I'm down to a one mill shop now, and can't afford to have it down . I was thinking that my only problem was having to breakdown a setup for another operation, but now the mill has 45 yrs on it and how much longer can it go without maintenance or breakage . .. may have to open up the pocketbook and pick up a backup machine .
Thanks for the shoutout! I put a small amount of grease on my change gears as well. Getting that motor on when the head is up in the air is a real pain in the rear.
Thanks . I'd encourage you or anyone who has good information to offer to have a channel. This is a great platform for teaching and learning aside from just its entertainment value. That's why I started posting videos, kind of an effort to give back for all I've learned from other creators. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks Tom. I apologize I kind of fumbled your shop name there , probably should've gotten some sleep . I think everyone understood what I was trying to say.

@@kens.8834 As long as it's not making any weird noises , should be ok ! The belt in my BP is sounding a bit old & crusty !
Yeah she quieted right down . I'm liking it. 👍 I can't wait to see your hbm up and running!

Nice job...thinking about starting a channel too...in the process of rebuilding a colchester lathe...already rebuilt the bridgeport head

What is the small wheel for in front of the feel lever? Mine has been missing since I bought the machine.
Not too bad of a repair. Running the way it should now so no reason to keep the old Bridgeport. Especially if you need the room.
