£3000 is nothing for an RS3! I was expecting a higher bill tbh! Good job! Thank you for your honest review about this cars! I have an A8 D3 and probably one day will visit your workshop, hopefully not too soon! I’m really happy with the car overall! Is a tank and still enjoy driving it even though is 18 years old car!

I always wanted an RS3, that 5 cylinder was the closest sound to a V8 I thought I could get to. But I somehow managed to get an RS4 Avant with the 4.2L V8 for less than one of these and surprisingly no issues lol. so I'm even happier 😁. Bigger bills if I ever (when) have to do timing chains and I can't really push more HP out of it without doing a turbo or supercharger conversion but I'm happy with 450HP lol.

I enjoy the uploads. Keep them coming. I also own a RS3 2019 plate under 20k miles now. I enjoy driving it, I warm the car up 1st before putting it through Dynamic / Individual modes & drive fast where possible - not like its stolen etc. I read the differential is very common to go & how both need to be replaced when they do. I'm satisfied the engine structure is soiled within reason.

Did 65k on a TTRS Daza engine. Engine and gearbox never missed a beat as I had regular oil changes every 5k miles. The one thing to look out for on these engines are the coil packs as they tend to not be replaced on the Daza engine. Once replacing them the engine runs much smoother.

I once did an A3 which was stripped by an Audi workshop. They quoted the poor owner over R80000 (about $4000). I did the car in half the amount. The funny thing was that the cause of the problem was a broken chain guide which costs about R113 ($6) from Audi.
