These men have amazing voices. Go NZ. ❤❤❤❤❤
dont care what the "others" say we are bleseed to have our culture and especially have it on display for the world. Ataahua. and kia ora to the mana shown.
here, here. Well done to our brothers and sisters from across the ditch...
🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Anything done in good spirit is welcomed
You are the great nation and be always proud of your traditions. I love the spirit and your courage in every move of Haka.
Love from Belgium.🤘🤘👏💪🙏🌞❤️
@@Nozazand Thanks Noza. nice words from Belguim.
When your away from home, you will do anything to make your fellow country men and women feel like they’re home with that sort of welcoming. Sooooo much respect to the sevens team for doing this. And sooo happy and proud to be a kiwi. I had to fight back tears for this one. 😂
From a fellow Polynesian-Tongan this brings joy to know another nation is proudly and fearfully showing their true cultural mana, culture and traditions. Ofas from Tonga and may u all keep your culture and Maori Mana until this world disappears 💙🙏🏽
As an Aussie I’m so jealous of your culture and the way you represent and celebrate yourself
It's the Natives culture...
@@katyrebel18 your point is..?
@@bryanle6749 "As an Assie I'm jealous of your culture" who is the your you are referring to?
@@katyrebel18 yes this is Maori culture and as such it is also New Zealand/Kiwi culture. You may reject it, but that doesn't change the fact.
@@katyrebel18 who do you think "your" is? The video clearly highlights a waiata and a haka... What culture do you think these originate from?
Fantastic respect for their team mates. This is what make nz awesome. Our unity n kindness.
Congrats to all the nz medal winners and those who never got medals. Proud of all of them
Amazing culture, love kiwis, Aussie commentators showing this clip on our telly :)
Ah the culture-less aussies.
@@VKM33 no need for that
@@VKM33 where are you from? 🤷
@@MK-oc4gt CHINA xddd
@@VKM33Rubbish, they're not 'culture-less.' As a Maori, I can appreciate the fact that the Aboriginal culture is the oldest in the world. I just wish all those living on their land would recognise that and therefore give them and the culture the respect they deserve. Just saying...🤷
I'm cutting onions over here, that was amazing!
Congrats from Canada
🤣😂😎
Tumeke guys!!! Beautiful welcoming home for some of our NZ Olympians. Welcome Home 💯🇳🇿🇳🇿
its in the hotel lobby in japan bro
Well done from Australia. An amazing tribute to your rowers.
Thanks
Amazing voices this is why New Zealand is such an amazing country. They support each other and this video shows the beautiful culture. Love NZ
The first time I heard and saw a Haka I cried. I didn’t know what it was all about but I could feel the pride of those involved. The same feeling when I watched this one. Amazing. Thank you.
Congratulation NZ Rowing Meadalists Love from Fiji
Kiwis gotta have some of the most amazing cultures. Started as a war dance and now just being used to celebrate absolutely everything. Beautiful
It's not a war dance. Haka evokes the spirits and the ancestors to give us strength
@@gissyb1 ouh I thought it was originally a war dance…but good to know that. Thanks
But you love to watch lol
@@gissyb1 shut up egg it’s a war dance !
Not Kiwi. This is Maori.
Beautiful singing❤️
Cheers from a Fijian Fan

Absolutely amazing to have your own special waiata and haka. So deserving for the rowing team who have done their country proud. Very proud athletes from Aotearoa. 😃🚣

And we for our friends in the US. Its lovely that you like our song. Out here in the pacific, we always enjoy theatre, arts and kindness from you guys. Take care. Caring Kiwi.
I came for the haka, but who would have thought that rugby players could sing so well? Congratulations on your silver and to the Blackferns for their gold.
Maoris*😂😂
That is epic take a bow lads!
Congratulations from your American Maori Brotha 🤙
That waiata👌🏽 Ngarohi can SING👀
So nice guys, awesome welcome!
I'm not familiar with this tradition (only the haka) but those lads can sing
Kia Ora ! This Waiata(song) is called Purea Nei
This is its english translation. :) Nga Mihi
Scattered by the wind
washed by the rain
and transformed by the sun,
all doubts are swept away
and all restrains are cast down.
Fly O free spirit, fly
to the clouds in the heavens,
transformed by the sun,
with all doubts swept away
and all restrains cast down.
Yes, all restrains are cast down
@@gochad thanks mate, beautiful stuff indeed!
In our culture (Maori) it is normal / expected that after someone speaks in situations like this the speaker or the people with him will sing a waiata (song) to show support for the speaker. Most rugby teams especially our National teams will follow this protocol.
@@joep7584 how quaint.
If I could pat you on the head I would.
How’s the literacy and numeracy?
I see you people are given time off proper education to practice your little dances.
That’s why you people want everything handed to you, can’t make it like normal people.
@@daldydircymrurydd3727 I can't quite figure out whether you are horribly ignorant or just a callous individual, either way I feel sorry for you (no need to respond btw, clearly you can't recognize your own ignorance, so I'll go with callous for now). Given your YT name, I'm assuming you are Welsh. You must be in the 0.1%, because all the Welsh people I have met have been extremely respectful of Maori culture. Perhaps you have been cut off from your own culture, and that manifests itself in destructive ways. If that is the case, yet again, I feel sorry for you. If education is so important to you, please expend some energy learning about culture and customs past your own letterbox. Trust me, it'll make you more normal.
Better have a good one for the girls planned 🙌
. . . And also, credit to you boys - best way to deal with personal disappointment is generously giving to others 🤙
Gummon... disappointment??Irrelevant...they would've done this even if they won
Tumeke All Blacks Rugby 7's - Most certainly one of the 'bestest' you guys can display for our Gold Winning Wahine. Big Congratulations to all our Rowing Fraternity you again put your talents on display for all the World to see. Kia ora Rangatahi

Fuuu the harmonizing doe 🔥🤣 Not bad for a fricken rugby team thats for sure 😂 Mean boys
Kiwis aren’t known for treating their indigenous people well, but they sure do love their culture.
These are maori men.... whats wrong with them embracing thier culture?
7 thumbs down is so crazy ,we are Proud Kiwis
Riiiiight. I was super perplexed seeing that. Hei aha, let's just focus on all the love. Because it always overcomes hate. ❤
It's called they are jealous, so they need to tramp on someone to feel good, but hei aha, we've never cared what others think so long as we know....just as Donna Make mentioned
Nice
Mean as😊
03:05 imagine one employee not knowing that NZ team does haka and and walks by and hears this. 😂 I would be scared as fuk haha
Always love watching hakas, so much emotion, its beautiful.
