The pterosaurs in JWE2 have the issue of feeling interchangeable and I agree that the fact that they're almost all piscivores plays a big role towards that. The fact that a meat feeder can't even be placed in an aviary dome is just baffling, things like Quetzalcoatlus and Thanatosdrakon could very easily have been made meat eaters instead of fish eaters. Having placeable meet feeders would also allow, as you suggested, for carnivorous dinosaurs to be kept in domes more efficiently
One thing i think should go for aviaries also lagoons, is oddly enough being able to place hatcheries and viewing gallaries without the aviary/lagoon. It makes no sense why land dinos you can place hatcheries, truck/gyrosphere tours, viewing galleries etc then the enclosure walls, except lagoons and aviaries. Its so aggravating having to place, then delete, then place, then delete, and repeating until the aviaries are in the right spot to fit or make a hatchery fit when you could just place the hatchery THEN the aviary
One somewhat minor but nice improvement would be that once a hole is made in an aviary, all the flying reptiles in that aviary can escape through it, rather then each of them having to escape individually.
Like with the lagoons, I'm behind all of these. Frontier has a bad habit of barely utilizing the aviaries and lagoons beyond the bare minimum. Some of my ideas: -for the walkways, the JPIII-style ones that go around the inside of the dome would be great, and have designs for the JP era, the JW era, and one for the DFW and Malta combined -the Pteratops Lodge and the JW concept hotels would be awesome, if requiring large aviaries to house along with the water and other environmental needs. The Pteratops Lodge could attach to the center point of a dome and have a bunch of perch points on it for the non-Quetzalcoatlus animals so guests can see them outside their windows, and the JW hotel to the side like in the art and have dedicated fish feeder spots on its roof with observation points -change Quetz and Thanatosdraco' diets to Live Prey along with the other dietary changes, and for the frugovores and smaller carnivorous ones like Dimorphodon have them require the Fruit foliage and either the Ground Leaf or Fiber foliage so they can forage and hunt in them. For Dsungaripterus have shellfish and crustaceans be added to the body of water a Fish Feeder is in so they can land on the shore and dig them up to eat -observation decks with perch points that attach to the upper part of the aviary wall -bring back the rock walls and pillars from the Evo 1 Aviary and have them able to free-stand and be attached to the aviary sides, and add biome-specific large dead trees with branches sturdy enough to hold the non-Quetz animals
@@tri-clawgaming7682 Indeed. I find it funny how the Evo 1 Aviary was limited in the animals but had a lot in its presentation, while in Evo 2 it's the exact opposite.
Honestly I'd be disappointed if we didn't get different aviary heights. I don't use Quetzalcoatlus often because it feels too cramped. Something like the Pteratops Lodge from the novel could be an interesting idea. A building that functions as an attraction but it could also be an alternative to hotels. Quetzalcoatlus should be a pterosaur that requires live prey or at least a meat feeder.
Something i would want and its a QOL is that when placing a rock or any decoration they highlight specific parts of it so whe know that is a perch point and where pterosaurs will land. Let me tell you, its annoying that i made a beautiful aviary enclosure and they don't even land on any rock but land on the aviary viewing areas.
Aviary's were a big let down, I kept hoping that Frontier would expand on them at some point, but if they didn't do it wit the Malta expansion they weren't going to do it at all. Just another thing that a possible JW3 would need to improve on for me to consider purchasing it.
Mildly sad over the fact that chances are Frontier will probably never implement anything like this (unless we request it from day one, in which case they might add it in the last update lol)
Personally I would love a possibility to have better terrain options in and outside of aviaries. So we could make aviary deeper inside to allow better visibility or to slightly burry aviary from the outside to allow guests see pterosaurs without entering viewing galleries (if visibility from the path would be possible of course)
I agree except I have a better idea for how the aviary’s could be bigger. Place a dome which spawns at its default size, then drag the side which grows it while keeping its shape. It’s like inflating a balloon. This could work with the other shapes you suggested. This way you can make a movie accurate aviary.
My issue with that is that its more complicated than just having multiple hieghts of aviary. A system like that would require coding changes to the engine.
@@tri-clawgaming7682 Maybe it has like 5 sizes and they grow in a snap. Snap 1 is the basic dome size. Snap 2 is bigger than that, then snap 3 is bigger than that, then 4, then 5 being the biggest.

I agree. Ceredacytlus, Maaradactylus feel especially pointless to me, too basic

I get what you mean there, although i think thats why now the aviary and lagoon circles have the markings on them so you know where stuff will snap to

Oh man i really miss those rock pillars and stuff. We need more verticality with our decorations

I agree with all these features being implemented to JWE3. :)
Glad you agreed ^^

Anyway, how did you like my video about the possible third game?

Ah that would be a good feature
3:10 for more naturalistic perches n what not, they could do like tall, biome based trees or do the rock pillers seen in jp 3 in the bird cage
Thta would be perfect

Yeah mich like the Lagoons, the Aviaries were a feature that i feel they never did enough with beyond just 'having them in the game'
Mildly sad over the fact that chances are Frontier will probably never implement anything like this (unless we request it from day one, in which case they might add it in the last update lol)
Yeah but who knows

Oh for sure. The fact we cant do very much with terrain at the moment is stupid

Yeah having an entire map inside a cage would be awesome.
Sounds good.
Personally when I do themed aviaries with both pterosaurs and Dinos, I try to make sense, like Ceradactylus and Carnotaurs
ok but doesnt have much to do with the videos topic...
@@tri-clawgaming7682 you just mentioned making pterosaurs and dinosaurs friendly
Ah i see
This coat would look good if it was made from a log full of branches so they could!!
? i dont undertsand your point

that reminds me, i made a lagoon video (im not self promoing its shite) but its similar to this, just using MS paint
also aviaris having dinosaurs being a feature would destroy game balance unless they could break out
@@phone_gal True but then they could easily make that a feature
