I watched it Sunday morning and I loved it! I love Ebony, she pretty much stole the show. I love Kerry Washington too, she played the hell out of Major Charity Adams! These women were proven to be a force to be reckoned with. It’s a definite must see! An important part of our history!
I'm glad that you enjoyed it. It's such an important part of our history. I'm grateful that so many black hidden figures are getting their recognition.
Kerry and Ebony were absolutely amazing. The way that all the women were able to deliver with emotion, regardless of how small or major their roles were. I'm glad that you enjoyed it
Hey Ali 👋 So happy to see you review this movie (I was waiting lol) 🎬 I couldn't wait and watched it the day that it dropped @ 5 or 6am 😅 I was literally only going to watch this movie because of Ebony when I first found out about it...however!! Like you I was PLEASANTLY surprised and THROUGHLY enjoyed the WHOLE movie and thee ENTIRE cast!! They all did a phenomenal job 👏 And not only was I entertained, but I learned a great deal of history that I wasn't previously educated on. Of course our good sis Ebony ate...she doesn't disappoint...period 💁♀️ Also, I share the same sentiments...why can't Tyler do/give THIS all the time. Lol He did an excellent job with this film! Love you girl 😘
I'm glad that you enjoyed film! Listen...Ebony ATE down! I figured the movie was going to be good but I did not to expect it to hit me the way it did. I definitely didn't expect to cry like I did. As you stated, this is a story that we needed to be educated on because I had no idea. My hope is that Tyler leans into this. I understand having a variety of shows with different tones and storytelling but I believe if Tyler chose to uplift and educate rather than delivering exaggerated and shock value shows, it would inspire and shift culture. Love you, too
@AliNicOfficial okayyyy! And I agree. I'm glad i was proven wrong on how good this film truly was. Oh girl, I kept crying throughout 😭 it. It was so touching...the actresses/actors portrayal of these historical figures was so real and raw. I don't usually re-watch movies & t.v. series so soon after I originally viewed them, BUT I will be watching again! 💜💜
I just finished watching this with my sis on our girls night in. It was good (and I’m picky when calling a movie good). The 2+ hours went by fairly quickly. Good pacing. I think it’s some of his best work. A major motion picture release budget would’ve made it even better.
@@jessinthecomments OMG, if this film had a major motion picture budget, it probably would've been the best movie of the year. I agree about the pacing. I didn't even realize it was over two hours until after it was over. I'm glad you and your sister watched...
Thanks for your review, and am looking forward soon as possibleto see it. I had 3 older cousins in the WAC. They were all proud of their service, as I was proud of them. This was a phenomenal undertaking of TP. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this important subject. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
@@miriamwalton5969 Aww... You have such a rich history in your family. Please come back after you've watched and let me know your thoughts. Thank you for always supporting me. I appreciate you 💖
Watched it with my wife it was definitely a tear jerker. But not because of sad events. We were proud to see black people doing something historic while overcoming racism.
I'm glad the two of you enjoyed the film. I was so inspired and overcome with emotion to see how they overcame and succeeded the task with so much opposition. We truly are better together...
This movie was great. Bravo. There are only 2 Tyler Perry movies I like. The Six Triple Eight is added to that list, as the 3rd. Kerry Washington owned that character.
@AliNic im gonna watch it today....but from the interview i saw with TP and Kerry with Gale King I anticipated that it was gonna be good and probably his best work to date
@@sharonherbert1177 I'm glad that you're going to watch. I definitely believe that it's Tyler's most important work to date. I need to check out that interview as well
@@AliNicOfficial yeah cause after seeing how he went on after that 2nd live aftershow for Sistas and how I royally turned off by his attitude, I swore I was done with his shows and movies, SIGH
@@sharonherbert1177 I remember that live after show vividly. It was the first time that TP as a human being truly hit a nerve with me. I can get over the lack that majority of his content displays but to see his attitude towards his cast, turned me off. It was wild watching him actually forget the storylines that he wrote and his narcissistic behaviors in real time.
@ we most definitely did! Actually Loved .. 🥰 the film 🎥, it was beautifully shot and some scenes legit had us in tears, while others had us lmbo, TP definitely did something great with this film and I love that it was a true story and had original films photos and the real people to speak for themselves, also shout out to Michelle Obama for recognizing these wonderful women and speaking up, definitely glad they got their flowers 🌺 🌸 , especially those who are or was still with us to see them . I’m not sure how old certain moments were at the end of film 🎞️
