Ironically, Jia saved her son's lives.....her son's were removed from succession and thus Consort Ling didn't try to kill them....but Ruyi had to lose 2 children because of Ling
@@coldbru-on-ice I'm like 95% sure most of the framing Yanwan did to Jia was to get back at every time she abused her, before and after she became a consort
@@thlydd You are probably right, not to mention Yawan needed to get Jia out of the way if she ever wanted a chance to become the empress. Halian had already gotten rid of Consort Chun. Then she would just have Ruyi to deal with. She sorely misjudged Ruyi and Ruyi's ability to fight back.
@@katherinkeegan8601 Jin Yuyan was never going to be Empress. Jin was Korean, so the court wouldn’t have permitted it. So the attacks on Jin were purely personal and not politically driven . Same with Ruyi. Wei’s motives were personal and her anger was misdirected, because she convinced herself, somehow, that Ruyi was plotting against her, to “keep her down.” (Like A’rou thought Ruyi was trying to do to her.) So Wei Yanwan vying for the empress seat was out of spite, that she intermingled with her greed. Believing that she was recompensing for the “injustices” she went through aka the karma that Wei cultivated for herself that she was the sole cause of.
I wish i knew what Jia's buyao pins were signifying in this scene. Its the only time we see her wear this hair while at the rank of GuiFei. Its the one with purple flowers otherwise.
It’s the same Bu Yao she has always worn lol. More than likely, It broke during production, but the missing orb didn’t obstruct from the look, so was kept in. Many scenes are comprised of shots filmed over the course of many months. So one shot for a scene might be filmed in, for example, May, then another shot for the same scene could be filmed in July. Then edited together to make a complete scene. Jin Yuyan wears the same hairstyle for her entirety as a Guifei. Only difference is that the Jiazitou, (hair piece) was condensed to a smaller size and lowered on her head, either due wardrobe malfunctions, or maybe the comfort level of the actress. Really haven’t a clue. In terms of her hair accessories, most of the female cast, had a selection of hair accessories that they were able to swap back and forward between to give a different look. Jin Yuyan swapped between the purple flowers and the gold branches. Sometimes she mixed both. The hair accessories themselves do not signify anything specific. But their hair does signify their status.
People who dismiss traditional Chinese medicine, the doctors and practitioners can tell if a woman is pregnant and the age of the foetus by feeling a woman’s pulse. How amazing is that!
amongst other things. We dont see the whole picture just enough for the drama to express whats happening. Could be that the pulse doesnt match their baseline so it could be determined to be which trimester it's in. I know for my first trimester, my pulse went lower then higher into my third. I was always prehypertension before being pregnant so there was an indicator there that something was off.

Love hailan. Her gaining a back bone was the best character development ever

I wonder what Jia would have done to Yawan if she knew Yawan was the one responsible for her 2nd son becoming injured from riding the horse?
Considering the history those two have... Probably nothing good.
And that Yanwan was responsible for stealing the dog and framing Consort Jia for it!
