The makeup I wore to my prom was VERY similar to this one (I wore a red lip instead). I think neutral eyes with beautiful skin photographs beautifully, and looks like these will never go out of style for that reason. Great look!

My lips used to be chronically dry too until I read an article once in Allure magazine about how some people are allergic to the whitening agent in toothpastes. So I switched to a regular old toothpaste and my lips are totally healed and normal. You should try it and see if it makes a difference!

For me, the same rule that applies to your wedding dress, applies to your wedding makeup look as well : choose the one YOU feel comfortable in! Personally, if I ever get married in the very far, far, FAR future ( if ever, lol !), I would totally do a 40s inspired look and I would absolutely rock a bold red lip colour

Cannot agree more about the hair. I ended up deciding on the day of my wedding (curled loose pony tail). Happy in the end with my hair. I think it's so important to get a hair and makeup trial beforehand! Especially with makeup it made me realize I wanted to different on the day.
So pretty!! The hair turned out amazing too! Totally agree about a more neutral eye too. I recently did a practise look similar to this for when i'm a b/maid at the end of the year, no wing liner though, just used a pretty neutral brown and a rose gold for the inner third. Looked really pretty 👍🏻

That's such a pretty look! Will work great for any event, not only wedding :) I got married last year and I chose a little bit of a retro inspired look. Used pinterest a lot to search for the makeup ideas as everyone else, I guess :) I had a stronger wing, which was actually outlined with white, so it would stand out more. Photographed beautifully! For the lips I specifically chose a sheerer coral toned lipstick. You are going to eat and drink and a sheerer lipstick fades prettier. And it also looks gentler than opaque ones and is easy to reapply.

I got married last year and actually wore something quite similar, thin wing, outer corner lashes and luminous silk 🌸 the only difference is that I went for a slightly bolder lip, one of the Nars lip pencils in a fushia pink, it pictured so much better on me, and it might not have been the most classic and timeless option but that's what made me feel confident !
