Is there something to stop people from just buying cars in Germany and then importing them to Netherlands? Some kind of a crazy registration fee? Surely it must be cheaper to do it that way at these insane prices.
tibor29 The thing is nobody is importing the l4 since those who buy a camaro are a certain kind of human that usually aren't interested such a inconvenient car without the prestige or the power of a V8. (Inconvenient because of European roads and cities)
While I will always prefer the V8 counterparts to these cars I have to admit I love how smooth, torquey and refined 4 cylinder engines have become. No more buzziness or booming sounds.
Guys - The 2020 Ecoboost HPP is a different beast. 332/350, Mustang GT brakes, Magnetic Ride Control, Active Exhaust, Recaro Seat Option, Wider Wheels with P-Zero Corsa tires, and Adjusted Steering Calibration if you get the handling pack. The engine also gets 40% wider power band. 0-60 is 4.5 seconds. Not that long ago that was a GT figure and with its lighter front and newfound agility found in this package, the ecoboost is now... finally legit. Id rock one NO SHAME and eat up some twisties. Its the overall package sum that works well here.
The Ecotec LNF 2.0 T that's been in multiple cars from the Cobalt to the Equinox to the Malibu to the Impala and that is under the hood of the Camaro is considered to be one of the best turbo 4 cylinders ever manufactured by an American car company one also currently holds the title as the fastest four-cylinder in the world actually record might have been broken but it held it for almost a decade
Rental Mustang and Camaro are the unsung hero’s of a fun vacation. Getting to the parking lot and picking out your convertible for the trip is just so nostalgic.
I have a 2019 camaro, I don’t drive cars in terms of performance, but I’ve always liked Camaros I like the mustang but I’ve never trusted ford being that my family all owned fords and within a few years they required more service than my Silverado ever needed so I chose the Chevy over the Ford
I have an '18 Ecoboost Mustang. Added a larger intercooler, Ford performance Exhaust, Ford Performance Tune, and Ford Performance Street Handling Pack. 345HP, 426 Tq. Running 0-60 in 5.1. It's a convertible. The minor mods made a huge difference. Handling is much better and the lower end of the power band was nicely rounded out with the tune. With the top down, NO blind spots. :)
get dragy to get more accuracy. I dont trust track apps as it is usually off. Id say you're somewhere in the 4.7-4.9 sec to 60 with your claimed HP and TQ figures. The '15- '17 EB's with good tune and intercooler only run 4.8 - 5.2 sec in ideal conditions. Now, the disadvantage of the convertible is that it doesnt get the 350lb/ft of torque and are heavier. Though, like I said, If your numbers really are 345hp and 426 tq, Id think youd be in the high 4's.
Vanneker as much as i agree with you, i think there really is a market for people that want fun plus fuel efficiency. And I think that’s who Ford is catering to. (Plus people willing to be pay that much for a four cylinder lol)
vazromi92 I have a 2016 GT mostly I drive bumper to bumper traffic to and from work, my average mpg is 16.4, I track in in my Fuelly app. I had an eco boost loaner from Ford for 2 day while they fixed my ac condenser coil. I averaged 18mpg as per dash computer that over estimates by 1 mpg from my experience. Sorry but in the real world there isn’t much of saving as they want you to believe. Check out Fuelly.com they got other ppl mpg logs. See for yourself. It’s about 2-3 mpg difference
Vanneker yes but when your out of traffic and on a highway 31-33 MPG is easy to get. I have one, and get 17-21MPG on 91 in the city (depending on how heavy my foot is that week). Needless to say they are different animals in so many ways and whether you like it or not, the Ecoboost has received a mostly-warm welcome by many (especially after driving it)
Gandalf721 no one is wrong, its just called an opinion and its true, more people now appreciate what the EB has to offer despite “lacking 4 cylinders”. Throughout mustang history the “base” motor has been shit on by nearly everyone for its lackluster performance. Now we have a hell of a fun canyon car and reasonable city car you can actually rev out without killing anyone. Id even dare say you can have more fun in the city with the EB than a GT. 480HP is useless unless you have a wide open landing strip to use it. But thats just my 2 cents. Not a bad choice if you don’t have the coin for a GT.
Love the channel, very entertaining and real reviews! Would like to see a comparison of BASE V8 muscle cars, focusing on the new Camaro LT1...for those of us debating between an optioned-out 4/6 cylinder or basic V8. Keep up the good work!

I owned a fox body stang new in ‘90 and had it running 11.7 @ 124 in the 1320 back in ‘94 in street trim driven easy. The I4 turbo in the Camaro is so cool that you have it tipping the scales at under 3400lbs and in a platform that can handle the twisties with a great deal of confidence. Put a tune on the LTG and you will be pushing some better HP numbers quite nicely. The 6th gen Camaro is quite honestly the best handling Camaro to come along. Period. And hitting 30mpg isn’t a bad thing.
@@Boosted_aj yeah I know.It was just something I thought I’d throw in for those thinking about getting one.unfortunately the one I rode in belonged to a co-worked who crashed it into a pole on a rainy night driving pretty irresponsibly knowing the way he drove.he won’t touch anything like it ever again supposedly after he told me about the wreck
Great video, I loved it, thanks! I just bought a 2021 Mustang EcoBoost HPP with the manual 6 speed transmission. The High Performance Package and Handling Package really make a difference, and after driving both the 4 cylinder Camaro with the 1LE package, and the Mustang, I can tell you that the Mustang felt far lighter, more agile and more confidence inspiring on the road. It also cost less out the door than the Camaro, and yes I know it says it's cheaper on paper, but most Chevy dealerships tend to mark up their vehicles and not budge on the price.
@@william7472 This is debatable, I've known some camaro owners that adjust to visibility issues right away, there are others who never really adjust to it.
I have a 2020 Ecoboost that's white with the black accent package, which makes the car look quite sharp with that high contrast. Mine is as basic of a Mustang as you can get. But! Even though it doesn't have the bells and whistles, and such, I do have it in the 6-speed manual. And it really is a very fun car. Had it for almost three years, and still just under 15k miles.

To give an idea: here in the Netherlands the Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost starts at $77,347(USD) and the V8 at $121,444(USD). Yeah, we Dutchies are screwed.
I think the V8 is a much better deal do to it being actually available in Europe at some point :D
Kinda the same here in Argentina, but the minimum salarie is about 250usd... so... imagine that.
@RS1 they use periods instead of commas
Y’all need to get the 2020 ecoboost high performance package with the Focus RS engine on your show.
Yesss i hope they do since that's the one I wanna buy!!

Correct it was a bored out 2.0 in a gxp and ran a 5.9
Rental Mustang and Camaro are the unsung hero’s of a fun vacation. Getting to the parking lot and picking out your convertible for the trip is just so nostalgic.
Both cars are great, I personally dig the Camaro.
@Donald It's, well, yes, unconventionally designed.
I love the transformers Camaro but otherwise the stang
I have a 2019 camaro, I don’t drive cars in terms of performance, but I’ve always liked Camaros I like the mustang but I’ve never trusted ford being that my family all owned fords and within a few years they required more service than my Silverado ever needed so I chose the Chevy over the Ford
Chevy has the worse visibility ever it’s impossible to drive it, you need to drive it to understand just don’t crash especially when changing lanes
Caleb Gibson what’s your top speed on the camaro
Well to be fair...the turbo 4 Camaro was aimed at the discontinued v6 Mustang while the v6 Camaro is the direct competitor to the Ecoboost Mustang.
That's true
Stellar intro and outro. Amazing content in between. 10/10 would recommend.
Though, like I said, If your numbers really are 345hp and 426 tq, Id think youd be in the high 4's.
all of that bs and it'll never touch my '71 Mach 1 w/it's 429 scj. lol.
When he's moms calls ,I died 💀😂
I think the 2020 Ecoboost High Performance makes big strides compared to the 2019; really hope you get to review that one!
vazromi92 its a complete rip off. Performance is exactly the same, Fords claim that its Focus RS engine is completely marketing. Just get a V8.
Ma Dukes is a Savage for that phone call 😂😂😂
Was that real ? 🤣
I’m curious to see you’ll do a new review of the 2020 high-performance eco-boost mustang. From what I can see they have improved a lot.
Love the channel, very entertaining and real reviews! Would like to see a comparison of BASE V8 muscle cars, focusing on the new Camaro LT1...for those of us debating between an optioned-out 4/6 cylinder or basic V8. Keep up the good work!
I have the 2020 Camaro 1LT and I must say I love it. Only being 25 and inexperienced with rear wheel drive vehicles this is the perfect starting car. Plenty of power. Would like to upgrade to the 2SS or ZL1 1LE in a few years as long as Chevy keeps making them.
i have some news for you bud
The Camaro is being discontinued lol
I have the auto 10 speed 2018 ecoboost performance package. I love it. It cost more than the bone stock V8
, I could’ve got a V8 but mine is Loaded with features. I live in Los Angeles. I’m in traffic daily at least 3 hours. To each their own.
Glad you like it! I'm curious as to why you choose the ecoboost over the V8?
I’d lose my shit if I sat in traffic that long 🤯my daily commute is 30 minutes total dammmmm
@@joeljeffrey9139 I couldn't imagine shifting then down shifting for three hours straight just burning fuel, as is I average around 20 to 24 mpg. Imagine a V8 I'd rather spend money elsewhere tbh maybe in the future, I do want a gt350
@@Gandalf721 yeah I didn't want to be to conservative, I could've got some hybrid car but my car nice no cap. People ask all the time if it's a V8 it's identical to the V8 performance package just without the badges

Get the gt350 it sounds looks and performs better. It is pricey though.
The intro was indescribably creative af
Can you guys do a track race between these cars? Would love to see the results!
I chose the Camaro 1LT turbo for several reasons. I have a ‘14 Challenger already.
Y'all is out of control with these skits lol! 👍👍

The eco boost mustang is really loaded with some torque, I thought it was pretty comfy too. Backseat for a dude who is 6 ft, not so much
Backseats aren’t important in a coup. But the mustang looks like it can definitely fit some smaller adults back. There

My neighbor bought a GMC pckup because the Ford dealers wouln't budge on a F-150.
I would still like the Mustang. It just looks better.
And you can actually see out of the windows
@@definingimage as a camaro owner with 5% window tint, you can see just fine out of the car.

I definitely feel like testing these two cars as autos takes way a ton of spirit from both of the cars.
Not really.
Another quality product from Canada's Finest...keep it up boys!
lol the Moses part at the beginning was so funny 😂😂😂
I have to say you guys make really good intros and endings 🤣👍🏻. I would take this Mustang in white.
The intros on these are always so good
Again, I personally side with James selection of the Mustang . I also agree that a manual transmission enhances the driving experience, especially when horsepower is not in abundance.
Probably my favorite opening skit you guys have done. Love it! Keep up the good work! This is one of 2 channels I've ever bothered subscribing to on youtube.
Thanks Corey!
Your guys videos are pretty good, I like the format and some of the humor is pretty good. Putting these cars head to head was awesome especially since these probably sell in higher numbers. Please keep up the great content.
That intro though😂

I had a rental 10 speed eco boost convertible premium while my 5.0 premium was getting worked on and I loved it! It was fun, kinda cheesy with the speaker engine sounds but it was quick!
Is it speakers or is it a symposer like the focus ST (some resonator tube that pipes actual engine sound to the cabin)
Thanks guys,awesome as usual!
Even the ending is hilarious lmao top top channel
@9:35 both cars look gorgeous love them both. i’ll take the Camaro thx.
Great video as always gents! When are you going to get a Netflix deal, now that The Grand Tour is dead and Top Gear is crap?
Ford brought both the Ecoboost and V8 to Australia. The Ecoboost was dropped soon after. We love still V8's here
A fox body Mustang GT when they came out were "only' 225HP. I remember the ad with the GT with the door open and the caption "Go ahead. Make your day." They were awesome and we never felt that 225hp was not enough as they tore up the streets all day long and NOTHING sounded better.
That opening scene though! Haha...you guys are hilarious. Love your reviews and outtakes.
Just bought a $23,000 2017 mustang ecoboost premium model with only 5k miles....easily the best decision ive ever made cuz this shits fast and loud for a 4 cylinder
Nice man. 4 bangers aren't even slow anymore, good gas mileage and a fast ride.
Would be awesome to see the v6 Camaro vs the Ecoboost performance when it comes out
Why is it that everyone wants to see a Camaro with a larger engine vs a Mustang 4 banger? Why not hope for the V6 Camaro vs 3.5TT V6 Mustang? Camaro has always needed a larger engine to compete with a mustang.
@@michaelcockrell1785 Boi stfu, the Camaro V6 is N/A and the Ecoboost is turbocharged. Boost makes a world of difference. What, are we going to compare a Stingray to a ZR1 next?
Those are just knock offs the SS and GT. It's like driving a Camaro or Mustang with a honda motor.
Shut ur face if by Honda engine you mean the Type R engine then you are spot on, considering the mustang makes over 300 horsepower base and the Camaro makes damn near 290. In contrast, the Civic Si makes 205 and is almost a second slower to 60.
michael cockrell because the 4 cylinder Camaro has much less horsepower than the 4 cylinder mustang. Based on horsepower numbers, the v6 Camaro is closer to the Ecoboost
I test drove a base model ecoboost and 1LS camaro back to back with a week of each car. I chose the Camaro because it's steering and chassis is so much better. It's just more fun to drive. Who cares which car is faster to 60 by a few hundredths we're all sitting in traffic the same.

I bought a 2018 EcoBoost with the performance exhaust and wheels a few months ago… Needless to say it’s the most fun car I’ve owned. 🇺🇸🐎
It’s sad that you get ridiculed for owning a turbo 4. These cars are really nice, for teens especially! Great gas mileage, cheaper insurance, affordable, and they have the aggressive body style of your favorite car.
