Hey Alfie, I absolutely loved the drone footage you captured down at the beach. I mean normally I am not such a fan of more traditional seaside views on the English Channel coast. But you nailed it! I think it was the combination of the empty beach, the still calm seas and the very good clear lighting that day made for great conditions in which to fly your drones. Also I really liked the incorporation of the wooden posts sticking up out of the beach which gave an interesting perspective to the shots. I am more into still photography but I can use that knowledge to appreciate what you did here. I hope you will continue to improve in your (relatively) new hobby. I mean I would be so scared to crash one and destroy it. Like what happened if you flew it out over the sea and it ran out of charge and plummeted to it's watery grave? And man, aren't they expensive.
the reason the drone crashed was (as I see it from this footage) because the pole at the beach is from iron (or an other type of metal), the metal interferes with the 'compas' in the drone, wich is needed for its stability. The metal pole generates an opposite magnetic field ( opposite of the field around the drone, wich is needed for the stability), the drone then loses stability and can't calibrate to keep itselve steady. So if you see the warning, try to fly away from big metal objects or big magnets.

Hey Alfie, your drone uses a compass to keep stable, those peer posts are steel, and they are indeed magnetic. The only way to avoid it is by flying manual. (Harder tho). Enjoy feel free to ask any drone related questions!
