One thing Fanatic says specifically about boars in his tutorial is that their skulls are incredibly dense and not the best place to shoot.
Anomaly implies that the boar weak point is actually the body rather than the head, so putting all those rounds purposefully into the skulls of those boars instead of their body at around 15:00 likely resulted in your repeated demise.
I bought the trilogy on Steam lunar sale for around 4 bucks a piece. Started SoC with a few mods, never finished. Skipped Clear Sky and started CoP then found Anomaly... I've picked up enough of the original story from UA-cam and never looked back, Anomaly is way better. Im playing a fully modded 1.5.1 story mode and absolutely loving it. NO REGRETS
Yeah after being aware of anomaly's existence u dont wanna play old ones anymore and I think, if a person learns the past games story, its okay to start with anomaly

Exactly my story, started SoC with the starter pack mod that only changes graphics, halfway through once I got the hang of things I started a new save with autum aurora 2.1 and enojoyed it a lot, gave up on th last level cuz I got bored, watched the last hour of gameplay and all endings on youtube. Tried Clear Sky with the arsenal overhaul weapon mod and played the swamp part of the game like ~2 hours of gameplay and realised it is almost a copy of the first game but with slightly diffrent story and th anoying faction war that I didnt enjoy. Gave up on it and started CoP with the gunslinger mod which is amazing, got to the second map of the game did some missions and got kinda bored too even tho it takes place in diffrent places than the first 2 games (except last map pripyat) and now I started playing Anomaly and it is pretty interesting, lots of griding which keeps me playing I guess.
@@FIREHIVE the best part is Anomaly has all the maps from all three games. I read somewhere that the devs originally intended the trilogy to be one game anyways.
Looks better and sounds way better as well. I wouldn't mind this going to 100+ episodes but showing off different starts would be awesome as well. Anyways great job, really dig these videos!

Hahaha thank you man! Yeah unfortunately I try to keep them around 30min for youtube's sake, but it's really hard because so much happens that I just want to capture it all and not edit the footage. Heya tip from my side, raise your bitrate wehen you record that will reduce the pixelation. When you don't stream you can raise it up to 10k without any problems. but the file is then bigger.

No problem dude!! Yeah I think this time it was the reshade software causing this issue. I record at 60k bitrate :D So I think it's either the reshade or UA-cam's processing. The first 2-3 videos was definitely UA-cam processing. Idk, still learning how to git gud at youtube haha. Thanks for the comment!
i'd probably go for the mossberg shotgun over the toz to be fair, because as soon as there's more than two mutants you get screwed over by the reload time, the mossberg can hold 6 shells at a time and only costs 18k

I get pretty good visuals just using DX11 and adjusting brightness, color saturation and gamma under basic lighting setting.
Yeah that's what I was using before I started messing around with reshade. I might just go back to it eventually.
Hey i really enjoyed to see that sometimes even more experienced players can struggle :D :D was kinda funny, I'm sure it wasn't so funny for you :D Anyways, I wanted to ask you what is your bitrate on these videos?
Hahaha everyone dies in this game, no matter how good you are! My bitrate is 60k in CBR, but i think the pixelation is due to the reshade. I tried tweaking it for this episode and the next video but I'm just gonna take it off for the remainder of the series since it pixellates like crazy... Also, it doesn't help that UA-cam fucks up the quality with their processing. :(
My recommend add-on list:
1) Jayko's immersion and quality of life pack, contains the following add-ons with all the respective compatibility patches:
Aim rattle
Ambient music
4k 3D PDA, also enhances map graphics
Wall textures
Food, drug, drink animations
Soundscape overhaul
Sorting plus (better inventory)
JSRS sounds (guns+)
Weapon reanimation and rebalance
Damien's animation compendium
More armor and outfits
Death animations
Nav's 4k mask overlays
Also includes mod manager to make activating the add-ons a one click way to keep your install clean, NEVER just merge add-ons into game files!
2) Blindside's weapon reanimation and rebalance to add back missing pistol animations
3)Anomaly radios extended, adds location and faction specific music all around the zone played on radios
4)Upscaled skybox for a pretty sky
5)Dynamic crosshair, not so much immersive but more a quality of life thing
6)Fixed Hip in Rookie Village, makes her more attractive....
7)Flashlight and headlamp 50 meter, allows further sight distance at night when playing with dark nights setting (best immersion)
8)PDA radio extended, adds a cool personal playlist that can be played on your PDA when spending downtime in the zone, Ukranian rock/hardbass/folk music to jam out
9)Quieter rain for soundscape overhaul, trust me the rain is INTENSE and needs a little dialing back.
There's a few more that I could add like more 4k textures, other quality of life stuff ect... But this list is complete and everything jives well together, no crashes, very stable and is very IMMERSIVE haha. Have fun Stalkers!
Oh and these are all for version 1.5.1, the latest and final version. Jayko's pack also comes with extra optional patches for about seven other mods like Trader overhaul and others to make everything work together if you decide to add more. I didn't need any other patches to make my additional add-ons work with Jayko's pack, but they are there and should be checked out before you add anything else. ALL MODS FOUND AND AVAILABLE ON MOD DB
Also important to note I'm using DirectX 9 (enhanced) with every graphics setting turned up to MAX. plays great on my I3 processor with NVIDIA card and 4G of RAM.
I don't think Hip is supposed to be attractive. I've always believed she dressed like that to avoid unwanted attention

STALKER in a nutshell. You manage to clear an area of human bandits without much trouble, and the Zone reminds you who’s boss right afterwards when a random boar flattens you.
XD ... such is live in the Zone :P

I’m not very mod saavy and I’m a huge fan of the stalker series and have been replaying the whole series and never played anomaly and was gonna give it a whirl but could never figure out where to download it until it started getting more popular. Yes I completed all of the original games without mods ( I know I’m a masochist) because I’ve always been paranoid about downloading mods because I have a thicc rig for a pc and can’t afford really to download the wrong thing and end up with a Trojan or a back door malware and be totally fucked because I’m poor and can’t afford to replace anything in my rig but I’ve been getting braver and have been doing my research on mods now and let me say I have been missing out on the great things the stalker community has made for the games and anomaly is better than most AAA games out right now!
Nice man! Mods definitely change the game. And I agree, I've been playing this game a lot more than any other AAA game in the last 3 years lol. Also, moddb is the place to go for mods. It's pretty damn safe if you ask me. Been using it for years and no problems.

I had to make a detour through Wild Territory to get to Rostok... Atleast it was doable and i got lots of nice loot as well! 😁
You can try to sneak past them and then run to the Duty checkpoint so they can finish em off. But 9 times out of 10, they smell my sweaty ass and all attack me lol. It's very rare to not encounter dogs here for the first time... which is why I was very confused lol
I love how long your videos are. I work a 12 hour shift and have frig all to do the whole time haha

whats your opinion on playing with crosshair off?
It varies. I sometimes play with it on when I don't want to have to guess or double check which faction NPCs are. When I really want immersion, I turn it off. Nevertheless, I'm not a crosshair elitist that thinks it should always be off. You play the game how you want! :)

I make the same mistake and try to sneak past mutants overburdened and dead bodies with loot keep dropping on my way.
I find myself screaming make a stash/find a stash put some stuff in it clear the way to rostock then off camera run back get that stuff and take it rostock

I rarely use upgrade kits. I usually keep the ones for exosuits tho...
@@SixxsBunker on my playthrough my nomad suit is being torn up pretty bad after one bad encounter with mutants. Should I add some durability upgrades to it?
hi you are great videos you are releasing cool very much everything is great in detail and you could make a video on the compatibility of mods among themselves there are a lot of moddb addons of them but with which mods they are combined with each other it is unclear I tried to install add-ons they start to fly out thanks a lot in advance
Hey buddy thanks for the comment! While I'm not an expert in modding, I do know that certain highly demanded mods have compatibility patches with others. If a mod has a compatibility patch, it should be noted within the addon description in the moddb page.

SoC is a great game. I played it once with a mod that disabled the scripted blowout at the CNPP, so you could watch Operation Fairway and even fight some of the soldiers as they arrived. It was cool to take out APC's and Hind's with an RPG, as well as fight all of the Monolith. Plus you got to explore the area rather than just have to run thru real quick. I've never been able to find that mod again, not sure what it was called. All of them now either have mutants all over the CNPP, or else leave the scripted blowout in place.
The mod Zone Reclamation Project had that option do disable the blowout timer.
Wow, I never played that mod... looks like i'll have to find it and give it a go. Maybe a future YT series? :P But yes, SoC is a great game, although it is pretty dated. I just really like the ambience and the overall tone of the game. Makes me feel right at home hahaha

@@jbrou123 The mod I'm talking about might have been Stalker:Complete, or maybe Oblivion Lost? As I said, cant really remember, but 2009-2010 time frame so way before ZRP.
@@SixxsBunker If anyone does play the original SoC, assuming ZRP is still available, run the file Modifer.exe that comes with it. There are many settings that can be used to change aspects of the game. You can even change ballistics and armor characteristics to the point where the player is essentially in God mode.

addons for anomaly in my opinion are esential. i still need an addon to control the armor of youre companions(but hey it seems imposible so never mind), i need a addon that makes youre companions drop on the ground injured instead of dead, i need a way to give my companions a good backpack and im very tempted to using an addon for increased carring capacity, because i cant make my companions carry more. i mean using 5 artifacts already maxes youre charecters waight limit if you dont have the best backpack.
Addons are essential. Yeah you can play Anomaly vanilla and still have a great time, but addons enhance the experience SOOO MUCH!!
The upgraded metal frames and the army bag can get you over 110 kilo of carry weight, but sadly nothing for companions as you've said.
by the way can you make an actual list of what to do for a new player, i realy recoment new players to save before acepting the main story mision that makes you meet new people in the zone because some time sidrovich tells you hey go to xenotech meet hin and some times he say hey you know blabla bla go to the end zone map with a lether suite, i wish there was a sensible order for the main mision like xenotech first then clearsky, butcher something like that

Hmmm interesting. I would have to type up some kind of an outline in order to make it clear. Are you referring to a list of key things for each faction playthrough? If so, I might need to get some of my stalker friends involved since I normally just play with 2 or 3 factions.

Yes! I'm taking a break atm because I have family visiting but the series will continue :) And yeah, that's an FPS counter that came with the reshade (which i've taken off for later videos).
