@sspandchange at the end of the day, it's just a kid trying to make it as a disc golfer who takes 15-20 seconds extra to putt. Let's not act like it's the crime against humanity the disc golf community is making it out to be the last 2 weeks.
His emotional IQ seems really high. Goose is capable of viewing things from all perspectives before forming an opinion and that's a rare trait these days
@@mrtony1985disc golf isn’t about being fair. It’s a professional sport. Casual rounds are fine to take your sweet time but it’s bad for the sport if players can get away with this. It’s one player now but what if there were multiple? Rounds then take upwards of 5 hours and nobody will watch coverage if that’s the case. It’s a professional sport with rules and the rules should be enforced. You have 3 minutes to find your disc, you have 30 seconds to throw a shot. Simple as that. Follow the rules or don’t play. It’s not a right to play it’s a privilege. If u can’t follow the rules too bad

If anyone is a fan of goose and hasn't checked out terrys coverage of the memorial championship a couple of weeks ago, I'd highly recommend it. Goose commentates with him and I hope one day he transitions into a dgn commentator spot because he is really great at it.

I had a blast last year going to watch the open at Austin last year. Was cold and windy. can't make it this year. Hopefully you all play great and the weather holds up.

I live in the Idlewild area, half of the spring season it's that muddy. This is not just an Idlewild problem but an issue with all wooded course in the area. You will have to learn how to play in waterproof boots and carry plenty of towel.
Just wanted to say that I’m the guy who gave Hunter the orange Comet he threw all the time last year. I’ll have to give you something fun that’s Discraft if you swing by the Ogden area in Utah some time 🔥

Also! It’s MUCH easier to maintain your condition than it is to regain it. Life sucks when you’re out of shape … me, you, I’d get a team like Tom Brady. You’re so good at disc golf! You’ve worked so hard and your ideas effect the game! They’re timing players now! That’s your idea! You, if anyone, could get them to limit discs per round with a weigh in the night before each tournament! So the announcers can name every disc and specific weight on every throw!!! Brodie! Poor Cupcake. Somebody had to be the final straw on time violations but maaaaaan it sucks to be the one. On a brighter note, speeding up his putting will be good for his mental game. Better to miss a putt after 10 seconds than miss a putt after 50 seconds and a lot of anxiety.

I don’t really get how Locastro, Cupcake, and Goose are so bad and slow at putting. They have enough practice from in tournament putts in their career where it should be muscle memory. There are no tennis pros that completely freeze and mess up their serve due to nerves especially (at non important moments). A serve and putt in disc golf is all on the person. Enough practice should get it into decent shape and if it is nerves then they should be able to zone it out at some point.

Why give him a break? He needs to figure it out or not play. It’s the rules. Image trying to give an NBA player a break because he’s trying not to commit as many flagrant fouls even though he still clotheslines a player every game. If you can’t play the way the game is intended then don’t play. 😅
Also, 45 seconds on a putt and 45 seconds on a in-the-rough, scramble shot are way different. It’s okay to cut someone some slack every now and then on those.

Going over 30 sec on a wide open putt is not something cardmates or viewers should have to tolerate from a touring professional. It’s very very simole

If Cupcake hadn't gotten as bad as he did he wouldnt have the attention of so many people. The gallery timing you would suck for sure, but come on.. he did it to himself. If people were holding him accountable from the get go, he wouldnt be in this state. He should have taken responsibility for it from the get go and made a change. Be accountable. Integrity is important in any sport. Especially in one where theres not an official over watching.

I “live” for disc golf, I train tirelessly because of my love for disc golf, DISC GOLF IS LIFE!” No matter, as you age you must exercise! What better than the situation you’re currently in?
