I agree 100%. My most favorite part is the rehash. That feeling after an adrenaline rush cause you escaped with 5 seconds on the clock so you still have that euphoric feeling and you gather around it. I was hooked from the very first one. Not ashamed to say that I'm an escape room junkie. Great video.👍
Great video! I am in the process of opening an Escape Room and I was so worried about all the crazy high tech stuff. I myself and my friends enjoy a little tech but honestly the hunt of the clues, brainstorming how to solve them, and yes the click of the lock are what we really remember. I feel better knowing my ideas seem to be on the right track. Thank you!!
I find when designing games, small checkpoints are rewarding and give a great feeling of progression and accomplishment. Unlocking a small box that has been in full view the entire game, solving a challenging riddle that was only partially there, etc. Checkpoints keep confusion at bay! Puzzled and confused are two distinct emotions, one is a challenge the other is a disappointment!
when I grow up I am going to make a type of escape room for everyone 10$ per person kids 12 under free and people that gave me ideas like legacy escape box will be free too
Good video! Any advice for someone trying to do a first time escape room at home? Like a good simple puzzle? Or a fun riddle? Basically it's just one buddy who comes in from out of town and I wanted to rig my apt for a surprise (maybe 15-30 minute) mini escape room.
Thanks Steve!! Yes we have some suggestions at legacyescapebox.com for tips and tricks to host an escape room at home. Good question! We even have a couple of escape rooms you can use at home. Our entire website is free to use for anyone. :)
Theres a lot of simple and fun things that can be done. One that I love is using a code that is a number mirrored against itself. So, a 1 with a mirrored 1 next to it, kind of looks like a weird M... an eight looks like 4 circles, etc. All it requires is a pen and some papers... and a lock to put the numbers in later
I really want to make an escape room for my birthday. Will I be able to do one this year? I'm not sure, but I'm already trying to make a story and plan the clues :D
I'm planning an activity by myself for my youth group at church... I chose to do an escape room. All. By. Myself. I only just started planning and I have to finish it in 3 days WITH school 🥲
@@kmsideout it went A-MAZ-ING! I had around 9 people in each group but the escape room took the amount of time I planned and everybody was so hyped before and after the room and I got a lot of compliments, thanks for asking!

Awesome! This shows that not everything has to be high tech! Old school can still really get the job done as well. ♥️
Thanks for the reply and old school can be great:) And I am your newest subscriber🧐👍
