Thank you! The chain is smooth so it will not scratch the leather. If it is lambskin, then you do need to be mindful when storing the WOC and keep the chains off the surface for extended periods of time since they can indent the leather.
Your videos are great and with helpful information. Does the chain shorter clip cause any issues to the leather woven thru the chain or to the chain itself such as chipping gold off metal, scratching the metal chain?
Thank you! That is an excellent question and concern. I haven't worn the clip for extended periods of time to be able to assess that. But I think since it's not moving around too much, there shouldn't be any major issues.

Does the caviar leather bit around the CC goes abit flat? I have noticed mine has gone abit flat and not as pumped as before around the CC button snap closure area.
I have only had my Chanel WOC in Caviar for just under 2 years and only used probably around 10 to 15 times only since I only use it for special occasions. Recently I noticed that on one of the corner of the flap its wearing out and seem like the leather is peeling which got me really concern since I haven't used the WOC that much and always taken great care of it. Im so disappointed in Chanel especially its caviar leather so should be alot more durable so now im thinking is my a faulty WOC?🤷♀️ and would Chanel repair this for me and cost if anyone know? Such a shame because its less than 2 years old and only used a handful of times. Can anyone please comment and advise? Would very much appreciate it ❤ xxx
Sorry to hear about the peeling! It’s a misconception that caviar is durable because the caviar pebbles can rub, peel off or smooth out. Corners are expected, but not the flap since the corners of the flap aren’t really hitting anything. If you watch my first video on the woc, I showed how the corner of the flap rubbed against a zipper in my longchamp tote bag. For 5 years this woc was perfect and I was upset because I caused rubbing after putting it in my bag 🤦🏻♀️ I also had threads that would stick out from time to time. I took my woc in for repair to remove the loose threads. I mentioned the rubbed corner and the boutique said that Chanel offers and edge painting service. It would have cost about $140 CAD. I agreed and left my woc with them. To my surprise, on the basis of the threads coming loose, chanel deemed my woc defective and offered to replace it. That being said, I can’t guarantee replacement, but they for sure can offer to paint the edge.

I just never thought I would need to go through this process 🙈 This Chanel WOC is the most expensive piece of handbag in my collection and its wearing out so quick compared to any of my other branded bags like Louis Vuitton and YSL. Surprisingly my Chanel Card holder in caviar seem fine and I have used that more so I don't understand whats happening with my WOC. I always took great care of it and it wasn't until yesterday when I used it after months of not using I came home just about to put it back in my dustbag and noticed the corner was peeling got me so anxious and I panicked. I will definitely search for that video and watch tomorrow since its quite late now for me (Your London Subscriber)😊
@@8989shopper Exactly, you’d think the cardholder would take more of a beating. But that just goes to show how different batches can have varying qualities in leather. You don’t need to take everything with you. All you need is your proof of purchase (sometimes SAs don’t even ask for it) the bag and the card. They usually encourage you to keep the dustbag at home. They’ll give you a repair invoice to hold onto ad you are to bring that in upon pick up. Unless they repair it locally via their trusted workshops, they will send to Paris. It could take a long time due to covid. But atleast you’re in London, so a lot closer to Paris than Toronto.

Thank you! Not at all! The only time it will be inconvenient is if you drop the entire chain inside as the chain will take away some space.

I have noticed it does - even on new bags. It's because of the indent caused by the CC hardware when it's attached.
