Bought one of these in October, in my opinion and coming from another Rs fan boy, it's the best one. I had the previous one and the one before that which was 360 ish bhp.
You get the flat bottom wheel on the carbon edition, which I have in tango red. Also get carbon skirts, wing mirrors and big rear wing. I have carbon ceramics on mine too. Had mine 7 months, took 18 months to arrive. I had an 8v, the new car is on another level. Only negatives I found, glitchy drive select, the faff of just starting it - logging in, selecting the drive mode and turning off the bloody lane assist... the B&O in it is not great, I had a TTRS on 21 plate and it was way better and the turning circle is terrible. Else all good. I can get nearly 40mpg with a laid back drive in Comfort or tear the road up in RS Dynamic. Sounds great over 4,000 but a bit quiet below. As a daily, it is a great car and mine certainly gets a lot of favourable compliments. Just wish Audi would hurry up with a software update to fix the gremlins.
The price is up there, but considering the competition I don't think its so bad. What you get from factory its actually quite insane. There aren't many options in the price range so I think it sits about right, especially when comparing to the other guys, an M2 which is meh for what I want. Two years ago I was looking at Scat Pack Chargers because something like the RS3 was out of my price range, $10k (US) more. The same spec Charger is now only $2500 less than my RS3 as specced, and they arent even in the same league! I just got my RS3 last week, got lucky getting one early, and keeping my order due in 2 years to hopefully get an Audi Exclusive color. At this time, with the current market, I think the RS3 is actually a solid deal for what you get
Rich? WTF you on about. I've had mine 7 months, waited 18 months to get it. I'm hardly rich, just earn a decent wage, work bloody hard, just bought our first house with the missis. I'm 28 years old. If you want something in life, go get it.
Watching the 8V review you are pretty much singing all of its praises and contradicting yourself in this video. Not one significant mention of under steer ( my friend with a pre facelift says he never seems to get any despite people saying they go straight on at 20 mph and explode). I’d like to see your take on the 2017 DAZA facelift car if you think that DAWA is pulling well with its strangled emissions and OPF’s as let’s face it…who’s got 67k knocking around for a hatchback. The earlier car is far more accessible to your sort of viewer. Not having a go I just think at times you shy away from negatives on a car to save face with the owner and upsetting subs and perhaps being more open on videos would give a more well rounded opinion.
My mates got a blue 8y saloon I think the outside looks better even the new basic models but the inside is so cheap especially near the gear box so plasticky

Nope, just tuning boxes at the moment and most of those will ruin your car.
