- Joseph was the eleventh of Jacob's twelve sons and Rachel's firstborn. Joseph was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, yet rose to become the most powerful man in Egypt next to Pharaoh. When famine struck the land he brought the sons of Israel down to Egypt, where they were settled in the Land of Goshen.
The Lord works in mysterious ways! Proverbs 3:5-6, we read this counsel: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” This scripture comes with two admonitions, a warning, and a glorious promise. During the tragedy that was the pandemic, the Lord truly blessed our household in ways I couldn't have imagined 🙏🏾
Joseph is one of my favorite people in the Old Testament. Amazing faith, strong morals and a passion for God and righteousness

@@aviliovanetti9481 The major difference between muslim and Christian is Muslim belief Jesus(pbuh) is a great messenger of God but Christian beliefs Jesus (pbuh) is a son of God.
Muslims beliefs Jesus (pbuh) wasn't crucified and will come one day on earth to fight against dazzal (Antichrist) and ruled for another 40 yrs before doomsday.
My most favorite Bible story in Sunday school . Indeed God works in wondrous ways we can not fanthom His purposes are sure according to what He had planned everything into one - for our good, for the welfare of mankind and above all for His glory ! Praise be His Name Christ Jesus our Lord for the glory of God the Father !

I have prayed to God this afternoon using the story of Joseph, how God placed him in a palace from prison and then I came on UA-cam and was just going through lots of recommended video without looking at what they were because I was half asleep and I just pressed anything thinking I was going to hear the news, and then I heard the narrator say JOSEPH and I woke up in shock because I thought / think that God is letting me know that He has heard my cry and I will be fine like Joseph was after all he went through.
I am going through so much difficulties, I am jobless, penniless and homeless due to so much hate that I have encountered in my life so far from my own mother and my own daughter,
And I can truly say that I am good person but I know that
The Lord is my Sherperd, I will be fine in Jesus Name.

Notice, how that Joseph was seated on the right hand of Pharaoh, next to him on the throne. There is a great signification in this, that Joseph was a "type" (or foreshadow) of Christ.
Him being sold into slavery for silver, is another excellent comparison, too.
@@kevinhunter6457 Yes, the life of Joseph was amazing. Rejected by his own, and reunited at the end. Tempted and falsely imprisoned, raised to second in command over all the land by the father figure Pharaoh. Too many "types" for his life to not mean anything in the foretelling of Christ.

While reading the Gospel of Mathew a couple of days ago I seen that Joseph who was to be married to Mary was spoken to by God in dreams. I recalled from the old Testament how Joseph (Old Testament) was called the "dreamer." I can see parallels between the two in many ways especially by both going to Egypt.
I find it no coincidence that my sister, who lives 5 states or so away from where I'm working, out of the blue sends me this video. I travel abroad because it'spart of my job. I went to St. Joseph's church on Sunday and just came from adoration at the same church. And then she sends me this video. No coincidence. St. Joseph, pray for us!
