My parents could never afford to buy me any packs as a child. The feeling of opening packs for me now is almost child like, my daughters and I open packs together and it's always a good time, regardless of the pulls. They both have folders full and I have my graded collection that I share with them. Never thought I'd be into it this much. I must have missed something big as a child when it first came out.

Depends if he kept the pulls and had them graded or sold them immediately un-graded or even graded and what cards they were.

He may have made more than 19k from the stuff that was originally in the box, but he then put up a sale: "10k for booster box with spanish cards" that is now worth over double what it was sold for, so the sale is a loss regardless of if the box was a win
U also have to factor in that the Spanish card market is not as big as English

To get scammed like that would’ve made my heart drop and would’ve discouraged me completely, props to you for continuing with it. I’d have to say my favorite moment collecting card would’ve been as a kid having so many to just look through and put into a binder but as of recent, seeing all of the artworks and just appreciating them more deeply as I rip packs and get that feeling of what’s in this pack.

My favorite moment collecting Pokemon cards was when I opened a vivid voltage pack while on a FaceTime with my friends and I pulled the Rainbow Chonkachu after saying “Yo what if I pull the chonkachu”

I've legitimately never smiled so big at the end of a UA-cam video. I remember being 12 years old, my mom have enough money for 1 pack of Pokemon... Ripping a Charizard for my fire deck. Watching this video brought me that kind of joy. Congratulations and thanks for the continued great content Rev.

As for someone who was born in 1982 spent most of my teenage years through the 90s and never played pokémon I deeply regret my decisions. I can honestly say now I want to catch them all.
I hear that I literally was 7-8 when they came out which was perfect and to this day I wish I knew were my collection is and almost sure my mom threw them away mistakenly but am back in it now 😂
The games were good until 3rd gen you can totally play them on an emulator for free now a days

My favourite memory was honestly finding my old cards at my parents house last year. Just flipping through the binder and having the nostalgia. Then finding your channel shortly after has been such a nice escape!

One of my favorite moments from collecting pokemon cards was when I was a kid, and for Christmas, my mom's friend gave me all of his old pokemon cards. these were all base set cards and there were holographics. I remember my heart dropping when I saw the second edition Charizard. I still, have them today, and I've kept them in the best condition I could since! I was around 10 at the time.
Amazing that this all worked out for you in the end :) I've only been collecting for a few months but my fav moment was the support my 10 year old son got when his cards got stolen at school, I posted about it in a local FB group & a couple of VERY kind people in there ended up donating a binder full of cards to him. I was honestly blown away by the kindness of people in the community ❤❤
Didn’t really work out think about how much he had to pay to psa to get all of those graded not as much of a profit as it seems
I'm so happy this worked out for you and it's been quite the journey watching this over the years! My favorite memory with Pokemon has got to be at the very begining. My Dad was traveling a lot for work and my brothers and I would miss him so much. He made it a point to always bring home gifts for us and they were always so special. Back in 1999 after one of his trips, my Dad brought me home a base starter set and a few loose packs. That gift was so awesome and led me down a 23 year path of collecting and playing Pokemon!
My favorite moment collecting Pokemon cards was when I fully realized the scope and longevity Pokemon has had over the years. Before that I didn't know the difference between any of the sets.

It's amazing to see how you beat the scammers and even after getting scammed had the will power to continue collecting it reminds me of how I got really into the hobby when I pulled a rayquaza vmax out of a random pack that I bought of evolving skies and how those moments make collecting pokemon cards worth it.

Honestly, I feel like this is one giveaway I'd wanna win. Been here since you were scammed on that box and the positivity you showed in losing that amount of money, was inspirational.
Best moment was recovering all the lost cards I use to had collecting, felt great to find them all back. Even In not the greatest condition, it was a true memory.

My favorite moment so far was getting back into collecting. I got back in towards the end of 2019 and fell in love with Hidden Fates because of how nostalgic the set was.
My favorite moment actually just happened to me not too long ago, I went to my neighborhood comic book store looking for the What if...? comics and I saw that they made another run of shining fates so I bought a randomETB and hit the shiny charizard!!! It was pretty awesome... That and I got to give the umbreon alt (that I totally pulled out of 3 packs!!!) To my wif for our anniversary... Keep doing what you're doing rev, you're bringing joy to millions and I just want to say that I really respect that, not everyone has positive things in their lives all the time but you give us that hour of bliss to get us through. Thank you for everything you do man, you're a true inspiration

Favourite Pokémon memory for me really was the good old days when I had tonnes of original cards. Trading and battling (completely made up rules lol as no one knew how to actually play)😂

My favorite moment collecting Pokémon cards was getting my hands on my childhood collection a few months ago. I collected from 1999 to around 2008 and I thought they were all gone. When my mom called to tell me she found them I was super excited but wasn't sure if they were all still there. Much to my surprise one of the first cards I pulled out of the box was a Shining Gyarados. Not only did this blow my mind but it felt like everything just came full circle. Favourite moment has to be the first time I pulled a secret rare and realising the set had even more cards inside it that I had no clue about. Just a great surprise.
I love the grind man. I'm actually in a spot right now where I'm considering giving up on collecting Pokemon cards. I just spend so much on sealed product, and I haven't had luck when searching for my chase cards. Also, I wanted to get a break going for my sealed Base Set 2 booster box that I have, but I'm just too small of a content creator to get enough interest in selling all of the packs. I bought that box last year and since money is getting tight, I think I may just have to sell it to try to recoup some of what I spent on it, which is very unfortunate since I haven't opened up any vintage cards since the early 2000's and I thought this may have been my chance.
My favorite moment collecting Pokemon cards was probably last year, when I got back into Pokemon cards, and I pulled the shiny Charizard V from Champion's Path. I actually sent it into The Grading Authority (they are an awesome company, with great looking labels, and very reasonable prices, so check them out if you haven't heard of them!) and that Zard came back as a Pristine 10! It's definitely my favorite card in my collection!
Everybody loves a comeback story. You could have easily given those cards away, sold them for next to nothing, or even thrown them out. Instead you kept the faith and stayed in the game, and your resilience was rewarded. Love to see it, thanks for sharing sir.

I'm always scared to shop online when there's possibilites of scams. So I purchase cards with great precautions. at your cards weren't fake, that's good to know but it's still scary the fact cards can tampered with.
My favorite moment was about 20 years ago when base set hit the stores in Finland. My friends mom gave us some money to buy stuff from the store. We used the all the change to buy Pokemon cards and his mom was so pissed at him. But we had fun ripping those few packs open. Don't remember what we got but the memory still remains.
I been collecting Pokemon cards sense based set 1. I can't tell you if I ever got scammed as a kid. But as an adult, two years ago I told my landlord at the time that I was renting month to month that I was going to move by the end of December. A day after Christmas I came home from my girlfriends house to pack up my stuff. My key didn't work and when I was able to reach the landlord they told me that they changed the locks. She not only did that but ended up stealing my PS4, my marvel movie collection, but most importantly stole all of my Pokemon cards. All my memories collection cards stole just like that. Its thanks to the support of my girlfriend that I started collecting cards again last year but I know how it feels to loose something. I love watching your videos cause I get to see a lot of old vintage cards. It's almost like I get to see my old sets again. Thanks for being awesome and being very positive in your videos.
My favorite memory, and occasionally my biggest regret, was when I gave away my pokemon card collection to a friend whos family was much less fortunate then mine. He only ever got a few packs of cards when he was young and I started to fall out of collecting them myself, so I decided to give him my entire collection. I still loved the games but didn't care too much about the card game, and felt no reason to hold onto the cards after a while. Thanks for the great content PokeRev!

I'm glad that you made your money back but you didn't pull a reverse scam, it just didn't hurt as bad as it could. The cards the scammer took out were almost certainly worth way more than all of these cards.

Getting some Pokémon pack back in 1999/2000 from my dad after struggling with money for so long, it felt like so special getting a few packs at the same time! I couldn't decide which art pack I wanted.
5 years ago I lost my 4th collection I watched you and other collectors who do what you do, and I still gave up but watched and watched, then I met a friend who had kids whom collect cards, I decided to take a $2500 loan, and I spent $2000 on Pokémon cards booster boxes and packs some graded stuff, I bought some bulk stuff, the kiddos are going through them with me, and I have about 20,000 cards, I got 2000 more from our local card store for $75, and I am trying to do what my goal was 12 years ago when I was 16/17, which is collect every Pokémon card from every generation and I know it’s gonna be much harder now then it was back then. I love watching these videos man and sorry you got duped, but I’m happy you didn’t quit and that you kept going cause you have am awesome channel!

@@carnivorousplant5772 well... Not really. You actually need to sell all of those cards to get the $20k back, which i believe wouldn't be so easy and gotta take a long time. In fact, if i were PokeRev and someone offered me $10k for all the cards he got from the scammer, i might have sell it.
The scammer on the other hand, already got $10k cash which he can use as a capital for his business. Not to mention he also got all the foil cards, which can netted him tens of thousand dollar right now. So yes, the scammer wouldn't regret it in the slightest.
But i praise PokeRev for the fact that he can still think positively after such a tragedy happened to him
Nah. It would take forever to sell all of these cards. That is also assuming you are getting what you want for these which is highly unlikely.

I’m so happy that you were able to beat the scammer! I’m also so glad that you didn’t give up Pokémon collecting when you got scammed. Since you kept trying, now all of the community can watch your amazing videos everyday! My personal favorite Pokémon memory was when I was around 6 or 7 and I would always buy those collection boxes from Walmart. There was never a specific box I opened that had some really amazing card in it but those memories are really nostalgic to me and I wish I could have that amazing feeling opening those boxes back!

My first ETB when coming back to the hobby got the Moltres Alternate Art in Chilling Reign. loved the art and found out later that it was a chase card... made me pretty happy.

My favourite moment want actually recently. I bought 151, Crown Zenith, Silver Tempest and some OGs from back in the day from my buddy. It’s just very nostalgic and makes me feel young again!
17:48 Right when I saw the arcanine, I had the feel to say this. At a convention, many years ago, I was given I think like $40 or $50, and I very clearly remember buying an english shadowless Arcanine for $10, but sadly its not in the best of conditions, I would say its in medium to heavy played condition, and a shadowless arcanine is only worth about $13.90 in good condition.
I love how karma techinally went back on the scammer as they thought you scammed you so long ago, but look who's laughing now.
Scammer still won bc the English cards are worth more if the scammer was smart he wouldn’t have even put Pokémon cards in there but it’s good to know rev still came up

I just recently started REALLY collecting. I bought my first booster box of Brilliant stars and pulled my first charizard in almost 20 years. It was a huge moment of nastalgia and excitement and thats really rekindled the fire for collecting for me.

My favorite memory has to be working hard for my grandmother on the weekends doing chores to buy jungle and fossil packs from her local card shop, my two favorite sets to this day

I know the giveaway is long over, but my favourite memory about opening Pokémon cards is about my mom. Not just one opening but every opening I do she loves to sit down with me and watch as I do them. She’s always so, so supportive and wants to learn how the cards work so she can support me. And I will treasure the time we spend together opening packs more than I’ll treasure the cards themselves.
When base set was first released, pulling a Venusaur was definitely my favorite card. I still have it thankfully.
Favorite moment was opening our first set of XY Evolutions a few years as a family. My kids scored some amazing cards and loved every min of it.

My favorite moment was opening 3 random legendary treasures boosters I picked up at Walmart, and pulling both the gold zekrom and reshirams! Never have had luck with yugioh or Pokémon remotely close since
M favorite moment has to be when I was in third grade (1999) and Pokemon cards exploded. I used to take my cards to school and trade with my classmates. We didn't even know how to properly battle but the anime and the cards together indulged us into the hobby and never looked back since. : )
My favorite moment collecting was when I was in elementary school and my brother and I traded a huge stack of cards from our collection of base set, fossil and jungle cards for a base charizard. I remember it was a bunch of commons, uncommons and some rares. I had to part with my holo jungle Raichu as part of the trade which was hard, but it was worth it for us to say we had a charizard. It was so long ago but I still vividly remember our recess school yard trades when value of the cards meant nothing and it was all about who had more and you just traded for cards you wanted. Swapping holo rares for uncommons just because you needed one more for your binder to complete a page. I still have that charizard to this day. We spent so much allowance money buying Pokémon (and magic) at the zig-zag-zone store. Those were the days.
2:55 I barely comment on videos but as soon as you said that my brain went through all my memories of the Pokemon TCG and I can actually tell you my best and worst moment^^
so my best moment is actually when my brother bought me a little collection box with I guess 4 booster packs inside (Shining Fates) for 35€.
I actually told him that it wasnt necessary and that its way to expensive but he said its all good its a present money doesnt mean anything.
And from that box... I actually pulled the shiny charizard VMAX and I told him that its such a big hit and I was so happy. he even said to me he has never seen me that happy which made me also realise how I keep my feelings to myself all the time (good and bad ones).
And also my worst moment even tho you didnt ask for it was when I was 6 years old and I was on a "flea market" and someone sold a base set charizard for 10€ but I only had 8... and my mom actually said she wont buy it because 10€ for one card is to expensive... I managed to get some awesome cards in my childhood but I never was able to get a base set charizard... makes me sad till now because I still own all my old cards and charizard is still missing... :c

My favorite moment was definitely when I pulled the Shiny Charizard from Hidden Fates a couple years ago, because that was when I first got back into Pokémon since I was a kid. Then another fave memory was as a kid going to daycare with my new cards trying to trade up, having no idea how valuable they would be.
Just found a box of my 1st edition shadowless base set in my storage. I never knew I collected or even bought them.
I think the best moment for me was when, after a couple years of stopping to collect pokemon cards, I went into a shop and I saw booster Packs, i don't remember which ones they were, i think generations, but I only had money for one pack so I choose one and went home. When I opened the pack I got an Arceus Lv x that was the best pull I ever had back then and it made me super happy. I still remember it to this day
My fav moment was when I was in a mall with my parents, I didnt have money to buy cards but I went to check out the kiosk with cards anyways. I went to look at magazines for Pokemon Magazines, and someone had left an opened pack (just the cards) on top of a magazine. It was a Dark Alakazam. I loved it so much, but I lost the card when someone from my school stole it
My favorite moment collecting Pokémon is last year when my mom bought some packs just for fun, so when i visited i bought a bunch of Celebrations packs. We had a blast opening packs! That i will remember for ever😊😊
My favorite moments were when I was a kid, walking a few miles with my older brother to the nearest target to pickup some packs of cards. I remember when fossil came out. Such good times.

My favourite Pokémon moment for me was when my family went on a holiday back in 2001 and my cousin bought along his game boy with the Pokémon game. As soon as I started playing I fall in love so much adventure and trying to find Pokémon. That’s how it all started for me
