Love this page with the two envelopes & magnetic closure!!! Thanks for sharing that you could split the Mica apart, I didn't know that! Great series! Hugs Kim
I have all the sets of bird cards you have been using. They were given out by Church and Dwight, makers of Arm & Hammer and Cow Brand baking soda. I appreciate that you work to maintain the integrity of the old materials that you use in your creations. Your finished book will be beautiful.
Thanks for your comment 😊They are really beautiful trading cards. I see making books like this as a way to display a collection. it only makes sense to preserve the collectible without damaging it.
Your whole series on the use of all things Tim Holtz really pulls it all together but it’s your use of them and the placement thot makes your esthetic You! Thank you for sharing your ideas and so glad I found your channel!
This is terrific! Your technique for placing the magnets is genius. And now i will look for mica tiles too! Next we will be asking for your technique for tinting your papers: its a grest idea when reusing various card bases!
Thanks for letting me know. I will definitely show my tinting process. I actually filmed it for the first video and then cut it out because I thought it was too boring. ❤
I love the way you have put this together. I love nuthatches and this element you have created is a delight. I definitely need to try and get my hands on some mica. Not so easy here in the UK, it looks as if I may need to order from the US. It was very useful to see you mounting the magnets. Thanks again for the great series
Absolutely love this page. Thank you for showing the magnet attachment. It really adds a lot to the composition of the page. Your attention to detail is wonderful. Pamela, did you tell us already where you get your magnets? I'm always on the lookout for some small, THIN, magnets. Thanks!!
Thanks for your comment. There are so many beautiful papers that make terrific books. I will be using some 49 &Market papers in this series in some upcoming pages. I am a big fan of their older papers. 😊❤
Have you thought about getting the mini envelope punch board. I have both of them, and thank you for sharing all of your amazing ideas. You're very inspiring ❤️
Can you tell us what size magnets you are using, please? I've purchased two different sizes, both are too small to work properly. I'm too frustrated to guess again and be disappointed.
The magnets I am using are 1 cm in diameter and 1 mm thick. I have just ordered more from Amazon and will post a link in the caption of on of my upcoming videos. I previously ordered them from Butterbees Scraps in Canada.
So many new materials and techniques...mica, magnets, maps made into envelopes. Inspirational! Love your attention to detail!

Thank you for sharing your techniques. One way of saving on magnets is to use a thin washer in your front envelope and the magnet in the base.

My sister calls these birds butt-up birds because they go down the trees upside down.
I just love watching them in our bird feeder ❤
