- On today's special episode of #Unfiltered we caught up with Arsenal star and recently unveiled Puma athlete Kai Havertz!
Rifling through his Instragram feed - and those of his teammates - we take a look at his career so far, his start to life under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, Champions League glory, and ask him about the fans' perceptions of him as a player.

I feel for the guy. He came to Arsenal with such negative bias and is judged like he is sole CAM. It is not his role to score, with front 4. Absolutely not. Its his role to link up, hold midfield. He is not so bad at it. Trust the proces, so many good managers want him. Now he scored twice, so give him a break and let him play his role
Well I think he was signed to score goals, pretty much goals exactly like the two he scored recently. Running into the 9 position when Jesus leaves it. He definitely wasn't only signed for goals, he was primarily signed for his versatility, including goals.
Chelsea massacred him. It'll take a season (hopefully less) to undo whatever they did to them. It'll technically be like a rehab.
Everything he did at Leverkusen, he never really got to do at Chelsea. His job should be arriving in spaces that are left unoccupied due to the 9 drawing players out of position and move around freely. He's still got that positional awareness but a lot of it is confidence problems.
He was stuck as a CF in Chelsea and was told to hold the line and was CONSTANTLY marked. The skillset that made him so great at Leverkusen meant nothing in Chelsea if you're marked all the time.
No, he's not bad at it at all. It's just the expectations that getting the better of some of us. We know and feel he can be at least a little bit more than he's been so far. That's fair. It's the extreme of some people that make him out to be useless that's crazy.
It's the kind of player that I feel Arteta sees as having the exact profile he wants for his team, and while I disagree with how he treated ramsdale and should've gone to him and said that raya is the guy he wants in net allowing him to go somewhere like bayern, havertz needs time to get integrated into arteta's system, and unfortunately a 65m pounds price tac is unlikely to allow patience, hopefully with his recent performances he can adapt seamlessly into arteta's plans

I’d be happy if he could consistently play like he did against Lens. Looked a different player in there. Was holding the ball, few tricks and flicks, driving with it, won the ball high up which led to sakas goal, scored. He’s deff got it in him for sure!

Arsenal wanted to get kai haverts before any other misfielder and then he went to chelsea because they paid around 80 mill for him. Finally he is with us . His confidence was shot playing at chelsea and chopping and changing formations and managers every season.

Havertz played well generally against Lens, but he lost the ball too many times on the ground for my liking. He needs to improve that aspect, otherwise a better opposition could punish us

He seems so smart. His English is impressive, in the first place, but his movement on the pitch and the way he adapts tactically to both his position and game state from match to match seems to indicate a guy who sees the game analytically. And maybe that's been his problem! Playing instinctively seems to be a challenge for him when he's low on confidence. Hopefully, with two goals in the last two matches, he can demonstrate some of the swagger he had as a kid at Leverkusen. I don't know if he'll ever be an end product machine - but that's not the point of Kai Havertz. The point of Kai Havertz is to add levels to an already-functional team. Chelsea sputtered badly after their UCL run and (unfairly, in my opinion) Havertz became the poster boy for expensive/underwhelming performance at Stamford Bridge. I believe in Kai. I think he's surrounded by kindred spirits at Arsenal, and I think he'll continue to come good.
