Great! For someone with 30+ years experience in IT I found this incredibly easy to follow and understand. From bare metal to virtualisation to containers...
tried learning this years ago and couldn't find anythign helpful. this video is perfect and finally helped me conceptually understand why docker exists and how it differs from virtual machines. tysm

I think I've watched about a dozen tutorial videos on docker, but this is the first one that actually made sense to me. You've explained it very well, thank you!
I've been researching Docker and Kubernetes all week for an upcoming CloudBees class. This is the lesson that finally made sense. Not rushed or too long/short of an explanation. I got it now. Big Thanks! Excellent teaching skills.
this is actually good on multiple levels. abstraction of info, public speaking ability, defining based of relationship to related tech, repeated demonstration of teleportation tech, etc... 👍
I just stopped in the middle of the video to give a 👍 it’s super easy to understand.. I have got 4 days training by my company but I didn’t understood as much as I do with your videos
Although you did not treat the main title of the video i.e. kubernetes, Mumshad Mannambeth you're a Demystifier and i want to say a big thank you for breaking this down so simply. Please do you have any training on cloud computing as a whole? I definitely would want to listen to you all day for sure because it's clear you can teach technology to a 5 year old.
Hi All, It is one of the best video I have seen on Docker for beginners, unfortunately heading is of kubernetes but I learnt about docker very well. Hoping to get more videos with use cases for the same. Thanks buddy :) keep it up...
Thanks😊 We make sure all the concepts are clearly explained. We have experts in our team who make even complex things look very easy. Please subscribe to our channel & help us create more such videos.
Hey man!! It is a great video, one tipp from a video producer to enhance it even more, IF you stand in the picture, while filming, step one and a half steps away from the wall behind you so you don't see the shadow. Looks more professional then (which you are)! :)
I am just getting Introduced to Kubernetes by my Data Center Colocation Company.... I have a few questions Do I need to learn/understand Docker before starting Kubernetes? I am eager to progress my knowledge and have purchased a few Udemy Courses. Other than UA-cam Videos, and Udemy, I am not sure how to find the right resources to learn about Kubernetes Is there a specific coding language that is used within Kubernetes/Docker? Java, Phython 3 What would benefit the most in learning how to utilize/learn Kubernetes as a beginner?
Dear Sir , Excellent video . One question . Appx time 12:54 When you say image is given to developer, can there be multiple image in one deployment for one project . . . IF So . .then - when dev give image file to operations. . .. . will there be multiple images or . . one clubbed consolidated image file
Thank you very much Mumshad, the best teaching ever in this context, what a clear explanation. you made the container just rice plate eating. not Undertaker play..
This is a great explanation man! I'm a complete beginner and this was very helpful in learning what Kubernetes is. You've explained it in a very easy to understand manner, and your visualizations are great!
Hi Mumshad- Sorry I didn't get this. The title says "Kubernetes for absolute beginners" but the video is on "Docker". Where can I find the intro on Kubernetes please?
Does docker use a few megabyes as claimed? I am finding this in Google Search: By default, docker allocates an amount of swap space that is equal to the memory limit set through the --memory flag. With this arrangement in place, the process now has practically 2GB for its use - 1GB in the active memory and 1GB in the swap space.May 22, 2019 Node.js memory management in container environments
Really good. A little confused on 6minutes to 7minutes speech between the difference of OS karnel and Operating System karnel! Can anyone give me a little clarification.
Thank you for this great introduction to Kubernetes. However, you said it contains two important topics (Container+Orchestration). You explained Containers in detail, but you didn't cover about orchestration!?
That was my issue too, he also said "To understand Kubernetes you first need to understand Containers and Orchestration" but didn't go back to how these relate to Kubernetes. I learned a lot about containers but I was watching this to understand Kubernetes and I'm not sure if I've understood any more about it!
Please can u help me with a doubt Do we need docker volume for the applications if we Deploy it with kubernetes. If we use which volume should we use docker volume or kubernetes volume Please help me with this
