Consideirng they got much of its inspiration from Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers (which had Spielberg's fingers in both of them) I'd say you're right =D

Ещё мне понравилась снайперская миссия в городе, когда идет дождь, очень атмосферно… Spearhead тоже в нормандии, но уже в стиле вдв из самолета, на манер американщины airborne, блин это капец как эпично! До сих пор кат сцены смотрятся потрясающе, а это учитывая что игре 22 года, вот что значит качество!! Геймплей конечно это коридорный шутер, но что вы ожидаете от игры 20 летней давности, это были первопроходцы в мире 3D шутеров. Длс Breakthrough тоже отличное, ещё больше вниманию катсценам, теперь они мне напомнили вовсе поздние call of duty, начало так вообще очень похоже на миссию из black ops во вьетнаме, когда едешь на джипе и идет диалог. Можно управлять танком прямо в одной миссии, а это между прочим battlefield) В общем медаль за отвагу это реально прародитель всех 3D шутеров. Call of duty, battlefield, все они что-то подчерпнули из серии медали за отвагу, а саундтрек? Саундтрек реально крутой, завораживает с первых нот, а когда я нашел это пианино на котором можно поиграть! У меня слеза прокатилась! Сейчас так не делают, время прошло, но творения (а эта игра именно что классика уже) живут и будут жить!

Damn, that soldier's poem hit pretty hard. I'd absolutely love to replay these old games if only they weren't all tied to some bullshit spyware program like Origin nowadays. Modern games just don't do it for me. Too much focus on graphics and too little focus on setting and mood.
@@jasonmartinez5116 Been there, done that. I was talking generally. And yes, BS like Origin, EA Play, Uplay and all that spyware garbage is the reason why I consider these old games unattainable. And old hardcopies tend to not work with modern systems more often than not.
@@RoughThief Old CD copies work on modern systems if you install a No-CD patch (aka No-CD crack). Just be careful for viruses because most No-CD patches were made scene (warez scene) members. No-CD patches were made to remove any DRM like SafeDisc or SecuROM

I wish I could get my Allied Assault games to work on windows 10.. everytime I try to load the game it tells me to "Change Administrative Permissions" or something close to that. I've tried changing all the Administrative options I can and even turning off my firewall. Nothing. Im seriously contemplating buying an old pc with windows xp on it lol
Given how many of AAs staff left to found Infinity ward, I wonder if this was made to sort of cash in on the first call of duty. 3 campaigns focusing on different armies.
Only one bad thing about Spearhead is too short. When I played Spearhead last mission I thought there will be more about Soviet mission but there wasn't... And poor Breakthrough came out.
If you are trying to say i used cheats then you should know that the enemy can't hit you there if you are using mortar. I don't use cheats in the games that have save function.

I would assume SGT. Barnes woulda introduced himself to the Brits. Kinda standard when you want to not die during those times, especially by then, when the Germans would constantly try to infiltrate the US Military... Kind of amazes me they didn't try infiltrating the Army instead of the Marines.
The only thing that I did not liked in Spearhead was the russian campaign. It was short and completely out of place with a disappointing ending. Also the T-34 level is kinda cringy.
The stupidest add-on in the world, the game is supposed to give pleasure and not annoy the player, every now and then I just died in these stupid missions, even on the easiest difficulty level, I do not recommend this add-on, waste of time and nerves. The base game was more balanced, very simple gameplay, and this whole SpearHead brought more nerves than pleasure.
Agreed. It's too tough and short, the main campaign is by far the best one. I was a bit dissappointed when i played this back in the day. I re-played this today and i can confirm: it's forgettable.
