- Fable looks to be a few years away, today we'll be going over the recent news of it using a completely new custom made engine and not the unreal engine 5 as rumoured. No fable gameplay 2021, and apparently it won't release until after 2022. Let me know what you think. Thanks for watching :)

Yeah it's a reboot which is probably a good idea but I'd advise to sub to xbox's UA-cam channel or download Twitter and follow the Twitter for fable for whatever news they share
Personally, I don't care how much time I have to wait before Fable 4 releases.
In fact, the more time it takes to release the better it is in my mind.
All I want is a Fable game thet can stand up to its predecessors, and I believe that Playground games can give that to us if they're serious about it.
Rumours said that the new engine is being build with the forza engine as base, but they got to add and modify so many things that it will be basically a new engine, in some job listings this engine is called as the F-tech (forza and fable engine) previously called the forza tech

I don’t know man. I genuinely believe we’ll get another trailer or something this year. Maybe a quick gameplay teaser, like 30 seconds. But if the article is correct and the game isn’t releasing for another 3+ years we may not get anything for a while. Thanks for watching :)

They just need to take their time and get it right. The thing that killed the fable series is Peter's strange vision that less and less magic was apparent in the world. From fable 1, where you could become literally a God, to fable 2 where you had less options for your spells, to fable 3 where you weren't inherently magic but gained some power through a bracelet...also no Aurora, we need to keep it more fable and less Indiana Jones. 😁
If not for Fable I would have never got into games like Skyrim and The Witcher so, I can't wait for this game, it was a major reason I bought the new XB. I don't understand the hate the old ones get
Hey Rocky according to a new article by games radar Fable will be made on the fortza engine. I wonder which is true ?
I’ve heard both but it seems more likely it’s being built on an altered forza engine. No way to tell if that’s 100% the case but that’s what most sites have started to run with.
I have been playing fable since my very first games and have all the downloaded copies on my Xbox one and love going back to those good old games and I have been waiting sense forever so a few years is nothing

1:30 says to me that they are about %15 completed. I think we still got about 2 years before we see it and maybe 9 months before some sort of teaser.
would u prefer the reboot to be like fable 2/3 with the industrial feel or the first game with the medieval fantasy feel?
@@Zanoladab definitely the medieval fantasy feel.. The newer games just don't stack up. Guns being added even as a kid, just didn't feel right. As an adult they still don't feel right. Having magic and "somewhat" newer weaponry kills the vibe the OG had. Just my two cents. What about you?

If anyone’s interested I’ve been seeing the same jobs on indeed for playground games for sound designers and programmers in lemington spa since like 2017 or 2018 which I’ve applied for every time ! Which was the fable game due the the way it was described. Which only says to me that there looking for the best of the best and if you don’t cut it they will find someone else which is my best guess. Just my theory anyway. I’d prefer the best minds and the right fit in a team to remake the fable legacy. Would have been dope to work on my childhood game as a sound designer but as I say they must want the best of the best for this title.
I want this to be a turnaround, and honestly, it could be. But there are more cons than pros. They need to listen to the FANS.
1. Set the setting to be back in medieval times and keep it there. Do NOT move ahead in time.
2. Have an abundance of Heroes with personality. Make them killable like in the first Fable.
3. Bring back all the spells from the first game including the two new spells from TLC. Add more. I wouldn't mind seeing Blades and Gust return, but add variety and different spells for offense, defense, and other aspects.
4. Boasts need to return. They were a staple in Fable.
5. Bring back the armor and clothes customization. I would like to see a return of stats, but it isn't a make or break there.
6. Bring back a variety of enemies including but not limited to... Hobbes, Undead, Balverines, Bandits, Trolls, Kraken, Dragon, Fairies, Heroes etc.
7. Longbows should return with more emphasis on Skill. Keep the Fable humor present in the three main games.
8. Make the environment larger with NPCs more lifelike. It doesn't have to be Elder Scrolls level, but damn it, improve and get with the times.
9. Give us more lore on William Black, the Court, and the past Archons of Albion. Fable is rich with lore. Use it.
10. Return with more moral dilemmas but don't make them so black and white. I want to feel the weight on my actions and decisions. I believe Fable can get very dark as well. Pureness and corruption with morph effects need to return as well. Fable 2 did well with it.
With that, you have successfully created not only a true successor to the original Fable, but you have beaten the others in every way that will have revived Fable effectively ensuring its legacy.
I agree with everything but medieval, i think if we see new games after this fable i wouldn't mind that it leads up to the creation of guns and the burning of the guild
@@SchizoShack The Medieval setting was a staple to what made the first game so good. Of course the story was predictable and followed the Knight in shining armor storyline rescuing his countrymen, but it was great. Being that Knight, that Wizard, that Rogue, was amazing. Plus, I liked the animation(s) they chose. Fable ll was weaker, but it worked. I just don't want it to be 500 years later. 50 years after the second, people are entering the Industrial Age. No Fantasy vibe anymore.

Elder Scrolls ain’t really a good example of lifelike NPCs, Bethesda ain’t known for quality storywriting, just entertaining gameplay. Here’s to hoping Forza can make awesome characters though!
I just hope it takes inspiration from Fable 1, Zelda BOTW, and Dark Souls. Now THAT would bring Fable back from the garbage that was Fable 3

New engine? I hope it won't be another Halo: Infinite.=/. Also, waiting few years more for some gameplay is a bit disappointing.
I don't mind better graphics but that was the fun of fable, it's art style, and I really don't trust this new studio with the story, i just hope it takes place during the burning of the heros guild or something
There's absolutely NO way Fable will come in 2022, this is just straight up joke. I expect it to be released i late 2023 or the summer 2024. This game is huge + they are still hiring people for very important positions + they are using the new engine = the game is still in the early stage of development. In terms of graphics, I'm comepletely confident in the Playground Games' potential because the Forza series looks absolutely STUNNING.

Well, waiting stinks. Yes it does. Still, we know the fellows and the ladies over at Playground Games can make beautiful game worlds. See Forza Horizon for proof. I feel like they're really serious about this if they're building their own engine for Fable, and serious is good.
While the new engine could be for better more realistic graphical fidelity, it could also be for adding features that other engines either have a problem doing or just plain can't do. Either way, as much as it stinks to have to wait, I support them taking the time to make the game the best they can, to make a game they are really happy with. I love Fable and I'd love a game that really draws me into itself and makes me marvel at how much I enjoy playing it. Enjoying the play is the most important thing.

Loved the first Fable (TLC) on OG Xbox, can't say the same for Fable 2&3. FABLE 2 was decent but that's all! Just decent. Fable 3....straight dog water.

I’m actually glad they are changing the graphics. I’ve always loved fable games and their style but going back n playing Fable 1 the designs don’t really hold up. Maybe something like Skyrim’s designs of CHARACTERS would be cool, but PLEASE don’t change the style of the world. Obviously upgrade it, make it look great but I hope they don’t take a too REAL world. I hope it still has that touch to it like LOTR or The Hobbit

@Kal Meuser the good games are still years away from now and are just taking too much time to make. The last fable was like 10 years ago, same for elder scrolls or gta etc
@Kal Meuser i personnally do not support blm but that's another story, and i was talking about these big games that were often released during the ps3 era. I mean, we had gta4, gta5, rdr1, rdr zombie and L.A noire from rockstar. And in the whole ps4 gen we only had rdr2. And we had no elder scrolls and the next one is supposed to release in 2023 or even later.
But yeah there are some "good games" but for me they're just there to help us waiting for the "masterpieces" like wither 3 etc
