- The Super Adventure Squadron heads north to tick off bucket list item "Cape York". This episode is most of day 1, featuring the CREB track.
Let me know if you enjoy it :)
Should of called me, I would have gone
We've got some better rides for you when you turn up ;)
Great video mate! I've been waiting soo long for you to put it online, can't wait for the next ep.
P.S Your videos have convinced me to buy an 1190. Pick her up next week :)
Looks like it was a great trip
Goodness if we're considering a ride, we can virtually bank on you having already ridden it!!! G'day mate great video. Hey do you reckon we could handle this fully laden for our epic blunder?
Creb is easy provided you get dry weather. It is actually a very nice ride.
If it is raining, it becomes pretty much impassable.
Cape York and the old tele would also be fine for you. Just deep river crossings. There was one hard section, but it has been replaced with a concrete causeway.
@@Nerb1 a help as always thanks mate
Awesome video's man! I'd probably say it's on par, if not better than Tom's! (Don't tell him though)
Not called Super Adventure Squadron for nothing. Cracking trail and edit. The map sequence is a really nice addition to the footage. Look forward to future eps Nerb-wan.
Thanks Toobi-wan :)
In Italy w little/poor internet for the next two weeks , so i can't watch this. But even so, I'm so happy that you've started editing all of the footage!
Italy? Moving rubble or a holiday?
trecking and a conference. There are more bmw's and ducatis in the dolimites than you could pooke a stick at!
Does anyone else know Tom is also E.T 🤔
Hey nerbface. I note that you're wearing knee braces (in the river crossing bit). Which ones do you have, and do you find they give you a good amount of support/stability?
I have the Thor Force knee guards. Not as good as something like those leat things, but 1/10th of the price. They are pretty good for less that $100. I wear them on the outside of my pants because thats what superman does :)
Hahaha, awesome. I'll look into them, thanks mate.
Just grabbed myself a set this arvo. thanks for the recommendation
So why weren't Alex and Sam on this track with you 3? They obviously went another way did they? The easier route?
So, not that hard hey? Not as bad as the Epic Trail? :-p
I enjoyed it.
Nah, just kidding. It was shit. :-p
(I really did enjoy it) ;-)
Lol. Yes, Sam, sweetman and 2 locals all went the bloomfield track. Im hoping to see some footage of that soon!
mr. aus - yeah we were scared off by the prospect of a $2000 fine and thought the locals would have a good reason to close the track.. nerb-nah i didn't capture too much footage of the Bloomfield. i think I've already released everything thst i planned to for the trip so just waiting on your footage now :)
Ah, I see. So it may have been closed by the time you got to the start of it? And the boys were going to do it anyway if it was? Bloody rebels! I was hoping to see loads more Sweetman goodness from the trip. :-(
Good work Nerb1. I definitely wanna do this trip sometime! Looks alot easier but more scenic than the Simpson.
Your my big bike hero here on youtube lol. I ride a Super Tenere 1200, and she's quite the lardy bike once it slows down and gets technical. Watching you navigate some of these roads and rocks I'm like yuuup. So fun though! I know sometimes I'd like that 690! Finally after a month of messing around with my spring preload and damping I've found a great offroad setup that soaks up bumps and still works on road. About to ordere a skid plate as I've smashed the POS yamaha calls a skid to hell lol. Keep the video's coming!
I was disappointed to find out that the plural of Ibis is, in fact, Ibisis :( So I am going to forget that I found out...
Holy crap that was some hill climb!
Excellent adventure mate :)
Its Ibi, and dont let any conspiracy theorist tell you otherwise. Those "official" sources have got it wrong! ;)
That looks like one of those baofeng uhf radios on the bars, how is it?
Its good. Works really well.
What an awesome Adventure! I'm so jelaous of you guys haha :) I hope to do Something similiar one day. Cheers
Been waiting for this long time :P Awesome video, as always!
will the simpson ever be conquered?
My goal in life!
Your channel should be bigger nerb
Any suggestions?
What kind of husqvarna is that?
Its the Terra 650. TR650
Major Toms Boat race on you tube...was that an editing error ;_)
great video as always, interesting to see the different lines you all take up big red. I think that would be a scary proposition after a big downfall it looked a bit scatty at the bottom
thanks Nerb1
No, he doesnt care about the face any more.
Rain would definitely make a lot of the creb next to impossible.
Very cool! Really enjoying your channel, Nerb! My new favorite entertainment while I catch up on all your older uploads.
Haha, good to hear! Thanks.
Great stuff sir. This big red looked a lot bigger the the simpson desert big red, question is where's the next big red!?
Everyone footage of the river crossings look sketchy as. Too deep for the R1 I think. Anyway look forward to the next exciting episode.
Cheers
What you do not want to do some Green laning?
Big red at Glass house mountains
Hey, great vids, really enjoying them. Tell me , how did you make the google earth video thing that shows your journey? Thanks.
My inreach makes a .kml file that I import into google earth pro. Then I use the movie maker in google earth pro. Its a bit fiddly, but its good enough for me.
Hey man, what communications setup is that your using?
I think its discussed in one of the videos... Its a Sena 20S linked to a sena SR10 which plugs into a Baofeng GT-3TP UHF radio. Works a treat.
Thanks so much! It sounded really nice. I just looked them up online really affordable! Love this CREB track video!
The Baofeng is awesome (cheap). The bluetooth headset could be any brand (cheap). The SR10 is the most expensive and essential bit (not cheap). No options around it that I know of.
you are the google map master!!! Teach me your ways!!! :-) Looked bloody nice going through there and I reckon you picked the best time of the year to do it........ I think it would be damn hard in the wet though!!
Agreed! The googlemaps thing was a bit fiddly, but now I know what to do. Happy to teach you. I'll have to grab you on skype or something.
sweet, it will make the map process a lot smoother for each day of my ride...... yours is a lot better than my hack job lol
Hey herb great vids ,seeing your Comms set up could tell me were you got the cable from your radio to your s10 l can not find one thanks so much
Its the Kenwood one
www.mrmobile.net.au/sena-sr10-kenwood-twin-pin-two-way-radio-cable-con
tip. you do a horseshoe to the right of the river
Thanks for the tip on the Motodry jacket, I'll have to check it out. Was it still in one piece when you got back?
Yep. I wear it all the time to.
Can't wait to see the rest of your trip!!
BTW did you have traction control and abs off looked like the dash lights were on
ABS on front, off back and TC off.
Great video nerb, love the new map effects
Yeah, I hope its worth it to better show people where the footage is from.
It is just like being there...
Nice work Brendan
Nice vid Nerb, who'd you guys use to truck the bikes up there?
Bikes Only. Very good service and the best price I could find.
Now I am jealous!

Loved the map usage mate!
Thanks Joe. Glad it works.
