More like exploded 3 blocks, but that is the reason why it only went through 3, because all the energy gets dissipated In the process of blowing them apart. Same thing happens when you shoot water, all the energy gets almost instantly dissipated by the surrounding water, making a big splash.
And the type of ammo do you using not just caliber but also armor-piercing or ledcor or copper brass even the length of the barrel somewhat comes into playas well as hell thick and how many objects it has to go through and how hard those objects are but yeah
These in particular are pressed concrete and are designed to withstand a compactor which is like a vibrating steel pad that puts out 6,000lbs or so of force to more permanently seat the pavers
2x4's.....I nail 2x4's together. A .45-70 once passed through 9 pine 2x4's, half-way into a 9" hard, dried, oak block before exiting 90° to the right! I appreciate ALL of your videos!!! Thank you.
As usual, thanks for the distraction from all that's going on in the world. The results were surprising. Have you considered putting the blocks right up against each other instead of spacing them out?? Maybe the blocks being spaced apart causes a faster loss of power???? IDK, it's just a thought. WTW !!!!
Free standing pavers will fall over, skewing the results. As the first pavers break/crumble they fall over, deflecting energy and influencing the direction of travel. This also applies to unstrapped ballistic gel with the more powerful cartridges. Thanks for all the videos.
I think you need to Re-Shoot the 50 BMG, it looked to me like the round went through the first few pavers and veered left. I’d love to see that one again really soon 🦉.
Only 3 for the 50 . Have you done 12 gauge slug's ? Try a regular 1 once rifled against a sabo slug to see if there's any difference . That would be interesting .
Hey great video, I would like to give some advice. The results will bebetter if you had a distance of 25 yards or more. The energy from the rounds would have a bigger impact at that distance and beyond. Keep up the good work 👍
watching you shoot a 50, while standing on a cinder block required me getting a cold beer cause that looked like it could go wrong in a funny way and I didn't wanna miss that lol

As everyone else is stating it went through 3 but I'd be interested to see this again in the slow mo. It looks like it went through 3, then blew out the side facing the camera. That's why the 4th paver tilted outwards it, it was pushed.
Great video... I’m sure you have read and seen the slow motion on that paver laying on the side... it did fall over leaving only 3 that the 50 went through
This is a great video im a hardscaper i build driveways and patios out of these and they are pretty well responsible for my back being fucked up...it was fun to watch them get blasted thank you.
I remember my old Korean War vet neighbor pulling fmj rounds from a machine gun belt. 30-06 every so many rounds was a tracer which was fun. Shot through a cinder block and then an 18" Birch tree. Can't imagine what some of the specialty 50 cal rounds do.
I noticed you never cleaned the savage after the last shoot, you also said in the last video that you never clean your guns lol, no judging here, but I would gladly take that scope off your hands to put on my savage, I will clean it before I do :). Keep up the fun videos!
Of course everyone will say I am FOS, but I called it right, two and three. But what is amazing to me, is how you stood on top of a cinder block to shoot these two and didn't fall off. Neat video :-)
I was guessing 2 on the 338, and 3 on the 50bmg. That 50 sure put on a show. Glad ya didn't get hurt, I cringed a bit watching you stand on that wobbly cinder block...... cool video
I would love to see 20 mm Lahti L-39 on comparison to 50 bmg. On Winter war it was anti tank rifle, but when soviets got heavier tanks in Continuation war, it was basically useless weapon against tanks, so they just started to use them as a sniper rifle :D
yes and an aluminum jet going 500MPH will go through steel box columns and not leave a hole, and the plastic nose will penetrate the other side in perfect condition just like on 9/11
I guessed 2 and 5 sure would of thought that fifty with all that lead would of gone thru a few more maybe a RAUFOSS with the tungsten penetrator could go thru a few more who knows.

R Jenkins , so what you’re saying is the firearms perform well and then if and when they do fail the company follows up quickly with replacements and extra goodies. Sounds good to me
Beautiful. You made that look good, balancing on that block, it showed you tricks just to save itself from being shot 😂😂😂 what the.....a forward domino?? 😂😂
Not even lying, I guess correct. With the speed of those rounds and the hardness of concrete the rounds just get annihilated and don't make it too far. Also, tiles and ceramics are good bullet proof materials too

The problem is the high velocity with the soft lead at close range is causing is bullet to disintegrate. If you conducted this at 150 yds you'd see much different results.
That was a interesting video and a little disappointing with the 50 BMG but maybe used the wrong kind of round you should have tried the masonary mortar scenery penetrating round

It’s just a jacketed lead bullet tho that lead gets completely obliterated passing thru those
50 bmg has broken 3 blocks only !! it's mean the differnt just 1 block .
anyway what your opinion about the hunt what the best 50 bmg or 338 lapua?
@@M.H-r7r 50bmg will save you from having to quarter the moose.
50 BMG- 3
.338 lapua- 2

I was going to mention that too, but he beat me to it.

Actually, you can see it fall to the side in the slow mo. The 50 only got 3.
Paul guessed 6, he guessed 5, counted 4, actually hit 3.
I saw that two !, you were not the only one !
The 50 looked like the bullet came out the side and kept going in the slowmo
yeah looks like it came out the left side. might have broken a few more, looked like it was still carrying a good bit of energy.
Yea definitely on my end looks go off target after 3
And I think the 338 Lapua went down and out

Give Edwin Sarkissian a call and see if he'll come visit ya with his Serbu 20mm. I bet THAT would break a lot more o them pavers!

It might be interesting to see how many a monolithic 12 gauge slug will penetrate.
I’m pretty sure it isn’t his and Mark Serbu let him borrow it.
@kentucky windage222 you know dude a .50 BMG is 1.5oz going 2900fps and a shotgun slug is a 1oz slug going 1000fps.
Nah, Edwin would force whoteewho to put "PUBG" somewhere in the title and use tannerite to fake frag grenades.
Nice job man. I always enjoy watching your videos.
Those pavers are darn tough. I would have guessed that the 50 would have broken at least 5.
Pretty tough!
I think they absorb a lot of the energy and disperse it by shattering. Kinda like the ceramic elements of modern composite armor
You got a solid breaking target it will take a he wind out of anything. That's how anti sniper body plates work now.

I believe there was only 3 pavers that broke with the .50 BMG which really surprised me, but those weren’t penetrator rounds.
these tests on pavers isn't a test of bullet power but rather of projectile density and sectional density. as well as material
The shattering of the concrete dissipates the energy

The 50 blew out the side brother
Maybe just a regular 50 AP round and then a raufoss. Bet that'll get some concrete flying.
