Whoa, this close to the band??? I'm kinda envious now... I only get to see them from far behind (they play medium size venues in Japan but stage front belongs to their official fanbase, and those guys pack the place like the 300 Spartans times 10 lol). But it's nice the band isn't shy of small venues. Hope you guys had fun🤘🐺👍
Yo Tonym480 dude I was 3rd row from the stage until I needed the bathroom lol. After that I was in the middle till the end . I was not expecting the venue to be so small and cramped . Was a awesome night though.
@@SpaceNudger Are you going to The Garage ? I'm hoping will be a better venue for the Ladies. They were awesome Friday night, but I felt a bit embarrassed that the New Cross was their first gig back in the UK. They so deserve much better. Hope they can get back the momentum they had before Covid. I would love for them to be headliners for a sell out at somewhere like the O2.
I'm both jealous at the closeness of the venue and kinda shocked at the same time. I've played enough of those gigs to know how muffled the sound gets and the problems of falling off the stage. Haruna's drum throne had to be almost against a wall. It had to have been an an incredible show but...... I dunno.... If there's not enough stage for Miyako's baby grand, or Fami to bounce, or for Midori to strut her stuff, there's just not enough room. 🥺 I'm thinking that there is a story behind their playing a pub venue. 🤔 Was it one set or two? Set list? How did this little pub get a theater/stadium level talent band?

Set list: The Awakening/Hammer of Wrath, When Destinies Align, Stand and Deliver, Shadowmaker, Judgement Day, Raise Some Hell, My Orion, Don't Bite the Dust, Rising, MDO, We the United, Encore- Holy War, Glory to the World. Why a 350 capacity pub was chosen, Only The Fox God Knows, oops sorry, wrong band. I don't think many people would have been able to see Haruna as she wasn't on any kind of riser. I was lucky, I was front row, touching distance from Asami.

Good news: the stage is only 6 inches high so she wouldn't fall that far. 🥺😱😉 I've come to the conclusion that someone owed someone a favor. Maybe the guys that own the pub have a friend in the business who offered the girls manager a 'do this gig and I'll get you this other gig' sort o' fing.. That stage was designed for Poetry Slam night or the local amateur night, not a 5-piece thrash-metal band that usually has a full pyrotechnic crew and laser show crew, drum tech, bass tech, guitar techs, multiple guitars and basses, costume and makeup crew, management, friends of the band. I mean, half of that place must have been filled with Lovebites band crew. 😂 All I can think of is Great White and the Station nightclub fire. non-sequitur : for the rest of the day I'm going to be singing Sam Kinison's version of Wildthing in the back of my head. thanks for that too! 😂😂🍻 🤘😎🤘
@@randomchord we saw a total of 1 tech/stagehand/photographer/translator the whole show. He even took the meet and greet photos after the show. I had a feeling that they had to set up their own gear and that's why they didn't even start their sound check until the place was half full of ticket holders and didn't finish until about 40 minutes before they came on.

@@wildething7923 I was at the steps onto the right side of the stage, so i got a lot of Haruna on video (when Miyako wasnt blocking the view 🙂). I will upload videos whenever i figure out how to edit the files into better quality, because for now they are rather shaky and and could use cleaning up due to a lot of graining, though grainy they are otherwise decent crisp image quality, just my phone is nearly 4 years old and was barely above low end at the time. I am 12 years out of date for video editing experiance, and that used to be just using Handbrake software, now i've just downloaded DaVinchi Resolve....so urm, i'm getting dumber as i get older. Small (j/k) correction, to what you mentioned, it was actually only a 300 capacity venue.
