I never thought much of this story even when I was a kid, but a few years later, they actually referenced this creepypasta as a joke in an episode. Basically it was some guy in a serious voice saying that they were gonna show an unaired episode called “The Grieving”, it would then cut to a dog playing the saxophone as a joke, thing is I got so creeped out by the voice that I turned off the tv and didn’t see the joke part lol.
what was up with tons of old creepypastas about lost episodes having characters standing still for minutes and crying? i guess it was uncanny and scary for 10 year olds but now its pretty funny to hear about
I think the insinuation is that the protag's dad is the serial killer and he (somehow) specifically played that cartoon on the TV in his house for his daughter as like a confession? Or was planning to kill everyone but Sarah and found that tape by happenstance and decided to use it to confess? Not that that makes ANY sense, but I think that's what's being implied…

Oh Jesus, I remember this one. Quality wise, it’s really bad, however I did like the set up behind the story, so here’s how I would’ve changed it; 1. The scenes where Gumball is crying happen during the beginning and near the end 2. We see Anais and Darwin go to school in a proper flashback showing how they escaped school 3. The gore should 100% be toned down due to being fucking stupid and cliche, especially the ending that takes a note from Red mist and includes dead kids and animal gore for no reason 4. There should actually be an explanation for who, or what killed Anais. There’s multiple candidates, however what the story tried to imply was actually quite clever with Gumball dying near the knife possibly signifying he was guilty 5. Just remove the “other fluids” found in the box, it’s just for shock value like the gore 6. Emphasise more on the grief of Nichole and Richard during the episode, and show Gumball’s guilt for what he did 7. The story would have worked better if it had been an online flash animation, or a shock video masquerading as a real episode, as a hijacking sounds somewhat realistic until the whole twist near the end that Ben B made the animation, but a serial killer edited the video to make it worse. Overall the stories a 2-4/10 for me. It’s a guilty pleasure on occasion, but it’s just as bad as other classic shitpastas like Sonic.EXE or Squidward’s Suicide.
