Hi! Is this lesson also for men? I am man and did this with my mother-in-law but it was brutal! I used 2 lb dumbbells throughout but could not last more than 14 minutes when my upper body completely gave up and I stopped. My MIL did the full lesson using dumbbells from 15 lbs to 35 lbs!! Her biceps are very thick and strong like Coach Sydney's! I feel really low and defeated :(
@@rupinjeremiah9589 Absolutely!! Do what you can and gradually increase your dumbbell weight. Have some 5# weights on deck so that you can progress. You can do this!!

This was my first full workout since having a hysterectomy three weeks ago. I had two goals- finish the workout and be humble about weight selection since I’ve been inactive, doing body weight if that was best. I tend to overdo! Both goals met!

I pushed today by simply showing up. My daughter had two seizures on Tuesday and we ended up in the ER for many hours. Despite weariness, grief and fear, I showed up today because it’s part of my routine and helps me find normal amidst chaos. Sometimes pushing to failure looks different than just grabbing that heavy weight and I’m grateful for Sydney’s constant reminders that pushing can come in all sorts of ways.

I loved the workout today. And I pushed through seeing my beautiful mother struggle with Alzheimer's for 15 years! I learned a lot through this journey and became a better person because of it!
I pushed myself today to go for heavier weights, or a tempo change on each round of the exercises. 💪 Always trying to increase the progressive overload! 🔥As Sydney said, we have to give the muscles a reason to grow in size and strength. That means pushing it beyond what I think I can do (safely, of course!). I'm so proud of all of us for pushing ourselves daily in our workouts, and also in life! 😊

I'm a day and half late to this party and rarely work out on Sundays, but I showed up and got this incredibly tough workout done! Awesome job, Sydney and everyone who showed out by crushing it!
Your speech during our cool down today really hit home. You can't expect to make progress without breaking down (muscle fiber) and building it back up. But it hit for life, too. I've had set backs these past couple years (closing a business, job changes and different living arrangements) and sometimes it does feel like I'm moving in the opposite direction. But if we work and fail, we tear it down and build it back up again, and come out stronger on the other side. ❤ 💪
I’m trying to make a comeback after a week of sickness. This was a challenge for me! I had to drop weights but I stuck with it and pushed with all I had to give! I’ll be stronger tomorrow 💪

I was super unmotivated to workout this morning but then I read all the comments first (I usually don't have time to read any comments before I workout because I'm always rushing) and I saw how many people pushed themselves and went heavier today. That motivated me to get my butt in gear and I even went heavier than I usually do. It was hard, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm proud of myself and of everyone here working hard. Hoping we get to work our triceps and abs in tomorrow's workout!
It feels so good to be back! We purchased a new home and it has been nothing but boxes and house work. I needed my me time back. I made some room in the garage (my future workout sanctuary) and got it done! Thank you Sydney for the motivation to take some time for ourselves in the middle of all the life changes. 😊

I pushed myself in my weights! I was able to use 25s for rows and 20s for soup curls! Although not a new pr, it’s the first time in a while I’ve hit those numbers. Great work everyone!
just did this workout on thanksgiving! i feel amazing and was able to push myself to do back rows with 25lbs and i did the biceps superset on a bench to eliminate momentum. proud of myself for pushing myself more than i normally would!!
