Nice job on weathering the deck, and great tutorial about how you came about the decision to go with PONTOS over KA. Your step by step narrative is most helpful; when I get to this stage, I will be referring to this video. Keep up the great work you are doing and sharing your work.
Looks Great! Thank you for the comparison of the two different detail sets/wooden decks. I have been trying to decide if I should purchase the Pontos set. After watching the previous videos and now this one the decision is clear. Now I just have to save up for it. 😀
Good call, Kenneth! I remember when I looked at the parts, thinking the Pontos deck looked “right” for the scale. And that’s the deck I’ll end up using as well.
Allsome job mate 👍 can't wait to put mine together now , with your tips & detail explanations along the way, l hope mine looks half as good as yours job well done.
Very nice weathering and blending of colors. It's funny how the deck manufactures all seem to get different detail right and omit others. No one seems to get all the details into one final product. You always have to compromise and pick the least deficient product. Man, we are sure spoiled these days! Great work as always Kenneth.
Wow looking fabulous. The long pan shot at the start reminded of star wars. Just so much of this flight deck. Loved the comparison of the detail set's, the devil really is in the detail!
Thanks John 😊 Funny that you mentioned it, I was thinking the same when editing 😂 Glad you liked it. Yes and there is definitely a lot of details to take care of.
Had to put in a lot of extra work this time. You're painting of the flight deck is phenomenal! I use the Gorilla wood glue as well. The ship looks gorgeous Kenneth!
Thanks, great to hear that you think I am improving 😊 I bought the stand from Andrew3d.net, please see the stand video for some more details and a good deal.
Great job on the flight deck
Thanks Loren 😀
I really like the look of the flight deck. Great job.
Thank you so much Andreas 😀
Excellent work as usual Kenneth 👍
Thank you so much David 😊
What an excellent job. Thanks for. the tips and tricks.
Thank you so much, glad you found it of use 😊
The deck looks brilliant Kenneth
Thanks Stephen 😄

Thanks Chris! If you can afford it I would definitely recommend the Pontos set.

Thanks Ben! When checking the actual width of the planks it was an easy choice, and when looking at the result I am very pleased 😀

Thanks Charlie the kind feedback 😊 That’s so true, always compromises, but hey I guess that is life. But I am really happy with the Pontos deck 😀
Outstanding. This answers all my concerns. Thanks again.
Great to hear!

Thanks Jeremy 😊 It definitely took a lot of hours to come to this result. So now a well deserved Easter vacation with the family.
I’m fascinated by your spray booth with water feature! I guess it replaces a fan and replaceable filters?
No, it has a really powerful fan for fumes and a filter. The water curtain is for overspray, so you don’t need to replace the filter that often.
Great video of all done so far. I have all three 1/200 scale aircraft carriers. Where did you get the ship stand to work on it? Thank you.

First :D nice progress, good work!
Thanks Ignas :-)
Any reason you have not used the ship cradle on this build?
I did in the beginning, but the holders comes into conflict with some details on the side bulkheads.
@@NorwegianModellingBench 👍
Please....Nimitz!
It is currently not on my list, but who knows 🤷♂️😉
