My wifes name and pic. Mark here. Thanks for featuring their show as I'm on the West Coast and the show I attend is the Southwest Unique Little Car Show. Our 40th year will be next April in Arizona. It's so nice to see that show have such nice participantion, great cars and people at this show video. We own a Subaru 360 van previously owned by Ed and Anita Parsil of Az. Hi Billy Paul, thanks for the sedan windshield from many years ago.
I wish someone would show some love for one of the first "American" micro cars.... the American Austin 7. The American Austin 7 later became the Bantam. They came in many variations from Saloons, to Convertibles, and even trucks. They were mini 1930's gangsta cars.
As mentioned, the Heinkel was also built in UK and sold as a Trojan. The company that built them also built McLaren racing cars and the Elva Courier sports car. I enjoyed this video, Thumbs Up! from an Isetta owner.
I own a 1961 Morris Cooper and a vespa px150 an hope to get a old fiat 500 soon. I love smaller cars because the engineering is so interesting on them. Also fun to make them fast. An you still get great gas mileage
I had the Irish Heinkel (Trojan.) 2nd hand.. £120! It took my family, me, wife, 5 year old, from the UK, Portsmouth/Cherbourg, to the Mediterranean on a camping holiday. The 200 cc engine never faltered. Of course we had our adventures: We were bumped off the road. at speed, by a French Learner Driver. We ran out of gas in the Carmargue and learnt a great deal about giant mosquitoes! Gorges of the Tarn. (Very few gas stations!) The Pont du Gare. American tourists. The Dordogne. Amazingly stable vehicle: Can't for the life of me remember what finally happened to it!
Oh god this is too cool. Seeing all this cars, thinking about how you maybe sell this ones in our modern world today . Maybe impossible, but a great vision. And of course i like the german cars , especially the Zündapp and the Heinkel. My father owns a Heinkel Tourist in his young days . He always told me , it was the best motorcycle :D Well done you have showed us this years Microcar Show ! Luckily we have shows like this in germany too, so i can see this gigantic little cars in real life .
When the Subarus first came to this country, they brought them to the old snuff mill in Yorklyn, Delaware to be painted. They were all white at first. When living at the mill in 1974, there was one left there, inside that had been in a flood. The Red Clay Creek would occasionally flood, as i saw first hand. There was also a sedan car that was about 2/3 the side of a VW Beetle, but I have not seen one of those in a very long time.
Did a semi restoration on a 65 Subaru sambar truck for a local rally team to use as a parts runner. Very unique and cool project I did that I'll always remember.
Never forget the Bond, first twenty five had 125cc engines (1948) thereafter fitted with the 200cc Villiers single until 1962 when they fitted a 250 single then for the last year the 12bhp 250 Villiers twin, power just dreamed about, ran a 64. model as daily transport in 80/81, once again it was an aircraft designer that used his war won knowledge to good effect after no longer being required, the model G (last of the series) had 12v electrics, seats for four, the smallest turning circle ever, and hydraulic brakes on all three wheels!, a character car if ever there was.

I think many of those cars would be perfect for an ev conversion. With today's technology, electric motors perform better than their old motorcycle engine counterparts. Also, being lightweight, their ranges would be very good.

??Aluminum is not metal??? 🤔🤔🤔🤣
He must be an HVAC guy. That seems to be prevalent in their jargon. Any material steel based is automatically and only metal.

I love American Muscle cars , but these micro cars they're just as awesome. You gotta love their quirkiness 😁👍
That Isetta 600 is beautifully restored. Like holy crap it's freaking pristine.
That was huge!!! I mean... I'm a big fan of microcars... ah, damnit! We need more.
We might get more, especially if gasoline prices go crazy again. It's bound to happen sooner or later...
